Learning to be a Part of a Pack

**Axel's POV

We sat in the entertainment room snuggled together on the love seat while everyone was enjoying the movie. Jessie had picked "It", the new version, she said she liked horror movies when she was a kid and wanted to see if she still enjoyed it.

I laughed as she jumped into my lap as a scary scene came on to where a headless kid with Easter eggs was chasing one of the characters and then the clown pops out. I wrapped my arms around her and whispered in her ear, "I got you, babe."

I felt her shiver in my embrace and I loved the reactions she has to me. I placed a soft kiss on her neck and she sighed as she leaned closer to my body. She began rubbing my thighs lightly and it felt amazing. This woman is going to be the death of me. I felt myself getting aroused and I knew she could feel it. She leaned back and rested her head on my shoulder. "Baby, if you don't stop that, we will have to excuse ourselves to head upstairs."

She sighed, "I don't want to stop but I think we need this time with the pack."

"How about we stop for now and then pick up where we left off when we get back to our room?" I asked her, I knew my voice was raspy and husky but it was all my gorgeous mate's fault.

"I think I'd like that, my sexy mate." She said, her voice oozing sexiness.

"Deal, love." I said as we snuggled into each other again to watch the movie. I noticed that the pack members that were with us, were enjoying the movie night and were cracking jokes through out the movie. Jessie would chime in with them every now and again, making everyone laugh. 

Towards the end of the movie, I had started joking with everyone too and learned about a few of the members that were there. Jessie was right this was a good idea. It was a good way for both us to become comfortable and talk to the pack members without any pressure. God, my mate is amazing and a genius.

After the movie came to an end, I wasn't sure how to end the night but before I could say anything, my mate took the reins. "So, as most of you know I am Axel's mate and I have been on my own for quite awhile. So, being in a pack is still super new for me and I am still adjusting. So I thought getting together with people in small groups would be good. Axel and I want to open up to our pack mates and get to know you all better to become good leaders," she started and tuned to look at me. I smiled and nodded to everyone in the room. She smiled too and finished her statement. "So now, that our movie is over. I was hoping you would all stick around for twenty questions so we can all get to know each other. Since there are about 27 people here, we all ask questions to one person. Each person will ask them one question and then we will move on to the next person. Anyone willing to play?"

Everyone cheered and shouted yes. I laughed while shaking my head, my girl is absolutely amazing. I kissed her check and whispered, "You are so smart, my love. I am so proud of you."

She blushed and whispered a thank you. Everyone chuckled as they watched us. She cleared her throat, "Ok, who would you like to start with?"

Everyone looked at each other and then yelled, "You!"

She chuckled and said, "Ok, ok. Let get started then." 

Jessie snuggled further into me, I wrapped my arms around her waist tighter placing a kiss on her cheek, and she placed her hands atop mine. Isaiah decided to start everything off, "What is your favorite color?"

"Well when I was a little girl it was pink, but now I hate the color. Seriously, if you give me something pink, I will hurt you. Except flowers. My favorite color now is blue, all shades."

Eric then chimed in, "Is there anything you are afraid of?"

Both Jessie and I chuckled, knowing he asked simply because he is her protector. "I am terrified of spiders. I saw my best friend get bit by a poisonous spider, and I have been scared of them ever since."

"What's your favorite flower?" someone yelled out.

"I know it's cliche but roses. I would find roses in the wild all the time and they always seemed to survive and maintain their beauty. I would love to have a garden of them someday."

Another pack member asked, "How long were you on your own?"

"5 years. My parents were killed and I wasn't able to stay in my pack. I can't really talk about the rest yet. Sorry."

They all nodded and smiled at her. A female wolf asked, "Where were you staying before Axel found you?"

"The first year, I was just bouncing from forest to forest. Then I made it to the cave and lake that Axel was found and that the pack will be expanding to. I turned the cave into a hideout or mini house."

"How were you able to stay sane and not become a rogue?" I was not happy this question was asked but when I looked and saw the wolf that asked smiling with sincere interest shining his eyes, I was ok.

"Most werewolves can only bound with their wolf 50% to 75%, most Alphas being at the 75%. I am Alpha born, so I probably started at 75% but I shifted when I was 11. My wolf and my dad always told me I was special, I never really believed them because I thought they were just saying it to say it. Years later, my wolf had told me were 100% bonded, she understood what it meant and had to explain it to me. She can be fully in control without becoming feral and I am always cognizant when she is control. Same for when I am in full control, she is always a part of everything I am doing. I am not sure how it happened though."

"What's your wolf's name? Can we meet her?" Another asked excitedly.

"Her name is Moon. And you will all meet her tomorrow but in the meantime, she says hello."

"The Alpha said you would be helping to train us, are you going to show us how to beat vampires?" Someone yelled from the back.

"I will be teaching you guys everything I learned over the years. I will teach you to fight vampires, rogues, witches, everything that can be thrown at you."

Everyone cheered at that. Another female wolf stated, "Can we be there to support you when you fight Tina? She has been really mean to all of us, she kept saying she would be Luna soon and we had to do everything that she said."

"Of course, you can. You are all going to be at the training. I can tell you all now, I will never abuse my power as your Luna and I will never treat any of you as if you are lesser than me. I will admit that when I was very young and knew that I would become the Alpha of my pack, I was just like Tina. I thought everyone had to do everything my way and everyone was under me. Being on my own taught me that every person around you has something to contribute and we are all here to help each other."

Everyone clapped and looked at her in awe, and I joined them. My mate is so bad ass. I watched as she blushed, and chuckled. She glanced back at me and then quickly kissed my cheek. She turned back to the group and told them to continue. Eventually they finished asking her questions and we realized it was quite late. Everyone decided to call it a night and continue tomorrow.

Jessie and I helped to clean up the entertainment room before everyone kicked us out . I grabbed Jessie's hand and led her to the bedroom. As we were walking, I brought her hand to my lips and kissed it. I looked into her eyes and told her, "I am so proud of you, love. You really connected with everyone and opened up to them, it help to open up too. They all clearly love you. The movie was a wonderful idea and a great success. I am worried about the fight tomorrow though. I know you will be able to protect your self but I do not like the idea of you getting hurt, even a little."

"I will be fine, Ax. She will not be able to win and even if she gets in a few shots, it will be nothing I can't handle because I know you will be there to support me. I got this. And besides, Moon is a bad ass and can easily take her down." I simply nodded my head. A mischievous smirk appeared on her face, "I am glad you enjoyed tonight, handsome. I agree it was a success, but tomorrow we will be starting with you."

I laughed, shaking my head, "Alright, love. As long as we pick up where we left off as you promised earlier."

She blushed as red as a tomato, it was adorable but she nodded. "I want to tell you something too, Ax. But only when we get to the room."

I nodded, nervously, and we made our way to the room. I gently closed the doors behind us, not wanting to wake my parents. They knew about the movie night and wouldn't have cared, but I didn't want to bother them or interrupt my time with Jessie. Once we were in the room, I locked the door to ensure there would be no one barging into my room like they used to in the past.

Jessie grabbed some pajamas and made her way to the bathroom to change. I stripped down to my boxers. Jessie never seemed to care that I slept in my boxers, thank the goddess. She normally just sleeps in shorts and a crop top, which I found interesting since she told me that when she was living in the cave she slept naked. Maybe since she was in a pack now she felt that she needed to be more modest. I heard the bathroom door open and glanced up. My mate was gorgeous. She stood in the doorway smiling at me wearing tiny blue shorts with a black crop top. Her hair was draped over her right shoulder and she looked like an actual goddess.

She walked over to me and guided me to sit on the bed. I had just been standing there lost in my thoughts of her while she was changing. As we both sit, she takes my hand in hers. She bites on her lip as she thinks on how to start. I rub my thumb over her knuckles to reassure her and to give her the strength to tell me whatever she is wanting to tell me. To be honest, I am scared as hell that she is going to tell me that she wants out or she doesn't think she will love me. I am terrified right now and her nerves are making mine even worse. This feels like one of those "we need to talk" moments and I can't stand the thought of losing my Jessie. 

She clears her throat and starts, "Ax, you have turned my entire world upside down and it has all been for the best. I have been scared for so long to be around a pack, to trust anyone, to let people in, to accept anyone to care about me or for me to care about. Tonight confirmed for me that I have you and your family to be there for me, as well as the pack. It made me remember what being in pack means. You have shown me little by little that love and trust is possible and that pack is not a bad thing or scary. I know I said wanted to wait until Saturday and it's only a few more days away but I have been thinking about this a lot lately. I want us to mark and mate tomorrow, I don't want to mark in front of everyone. I want it to be personal just between the two of us. I also wanted you to know that I love you. I want to be with you always."

I gasped and my breath caught in my throat. I know my eyes were wide in shock, but shined with passion, adoration, and love. I could tell she was getting nervous by my silence. I cleared my throat, looked directly into her eyes, and declared, "I love you too, my sweets. You are everything I have ever wanted and so much more. I will always love you, care for you, be by your side, and take care of you. Thank you for telling me how you feel, and giving us a chance. I wanted our marking to be private too but I wanted you to be the one to decide everything. I love you so very much, baby."

I saw the tears in her eyes, and wiped them gently with my thumbs. I then held her face in the palm of my hands and kissed her gently. I whispered to her between sweet and light kisses how much she meant to me and how much I loved her. This woman has my heart, my soul, my mind, all of me. "You are my life now, Jessie. You are going to make an amazing Luna and Queen."

"Oh, Ax, you are the most amazing man a woman could have ever asked for. You are my true mate and my true love. I can't wait for you to mark me and for us to complete our bond. We will keep growing together, forever." With that she pushed me down onto the bed and deepened our kiss. I slid my hand under the hem of her shirt and caressed her soft and silky skin. Her hands were tugging on the bottom of my hair. My arms wrapped around her waist and my hands slid down to cup her ass in my hands, and I heard her moan.

**Jessie's POV

 I moaned as soon as Axel squeezed my ass. I moved my hands from his hair and slid them down the front of his chest, down his abs. I slid my hands back up his torso, my fingers tracing the path of his abs. Let me just say: Holy eight pack! He groaned and his kisses become more urgent and needy. To be honest I was having a hard time keeping up as I have never done this before. I knew we couldn't mate yet but I wanted to give him a little release and pleasure. 

I pulled back enough to look down at his amazing body and he then quickly pulled my shirt up over my head, exposing my bare chest. "f**k, Jessie. You are so perfect." 

About 30 minutes later, we pulled back from our very steamy make out session as we were both down to just our underwear. We were both very aroused and our eyes were blown with lust, our breathing was ragged and we were trying to get our wolves under control. I looked into his eyes, "Axel, my love, we have to stop. We will get to mate soon enough. Can we stay up all night and tell each other everything about ourselves? I want to know every detail about you."

"Of course, we can sweets, but not all night. We have the rest of our lives together. You have a fight and training in the morning. I don't want you to be too tired. But we can talk until we both fall asleep. I want you rested for tomorrow."

With that, we moved up to the top of the bed, climbed under the blankets in our underwear, snuggled while laying on the pillows facing each other. We started talking about anything and everything. What we wanted, what we wished for, our dreams, everything. Axel fell asleep around two in the morning, he pulled me close, and laid his head on my chest and snuggled in. I stroked his hair until I eventually fell asleep too. 

I awoke to Axel caressing my cheek and saying my name. My eyes fluttered opened as the light came through the crack in the curtains. I stretched and smiled up to my mate, "Good morning, sexy."

"Good morning, gorgeous. I brought you some breakfast, coffee, and orange juice. Get your strength up. You have the training and fight this morning. I need you to be ready and to be careful out there. I know you can handle yourself but I still worry, love." He said with love and worry in his eyes. 

I cupped his face, and gave him a quick kiss. "Ax, I'll be fine, my love. It will be quick. But once I beat her, we will need to decide what we are going to do with her. I don't think me beating her ass will make her stop."

"I already talked to my dad about that. She will be put in the dungeons for a week and then we will talk to her. If she doesn't stop, we will figure out what to do with her at that point. Eat, babe."

I kissed his cheek, gave him a smile, and started eating my breakfast. I stopped when I realized he wasn't eating. "Why aren't you eating, Ax?"

"I ate earlier. I got up early so that I could take care of you and make sure you are ready for the day. And besides, seeing as we both only had our underwear on, I needed to leave the room to calm down. I was getting a little too excited, especially knowing that I will get to mark and mate you today."

"My, what a gentleman of a mate I have." I giggled, sitting up more and the blankets fell in a pool around my waist, exposing my breasts. Axel sucked in a ragged breath. 

"Jessie, you are killing me, love. We can't do anything before your match because you need to focus all of your energy on that." He said, his voice was gravely and deep with need.

"I just want a little taste, my love. I am full and need a little bit of my mate to top me off." I said in what I hoped was a seductive voice. It must have work because Axel leaned down and licked my n****e on one breast while the other breast was being massaged by his hand. I felt my arousal hit me like a ton of bricks. Axel took a deep breath, breathing in my arousal and nipped at my n****e. I gasped with the mix of pleasure and pain. I looked down and saw the bulge in Axel's pants. I reached out and rubbed his shaft through his pants, he groaned and twisted my n****e. He switched his mouth to my other n****e and his hand massaging my other breast. "Ax, my love. That feels wonderful."

He pulled back, and grabbed my hand, stopping me from rubbing him any more. He continued looking down and his breathing was very ragged. "We have to stop now, love, or I will not be able to stop. If we don't stop, we will not be leaving this room for hours and we can't do that."

He was right. I tried to focus on calming my breathing down and to get my arousal under control. "You're right. I'm sorry, babe. I didn't mean to take it that far. I am not trying to be a tease."

"I know, sweets. Why don't you hop in the shower. I don't want any of the unmated wolves smelling your arousal and getting any ideas in their heads that will get them killed." He said and gave me a quick kiss.

"Ok, Ax. How long until the training starts?" I asked as I climbed out of the bed, and made my way to the bathroom. I looked over my should when he didn't respond and saw him adjusting the very noticeable erection in his pants with his eyes closed. I continued into the bathroom so that I was no longer in front of him and causing him more pain. I closed the door and asked again, "How long do I have until the training?"

"Sorry love and thank you. The training will begin in about an hour." He told me through the door. "We will finish what we started once this is fight is over. I can't wait to give you all of myself, love."

I giggled and climbed into the shower. I quickly cleaned up, climbed out, and threw my hair into a high ponytail. I wrapped the towel around my body and walked back into the bedroom, I had forgotten to grab clothes. When I came out, I noticed that Axel was not longer in the room. It looks like he was taking the dishes back to the kitchen. I quickly got dressed in my black yoga pants, a baby blue sports bra and matching panties, and a navy blue crop top. I sat on the bed to put on my tennis shoes, as I did Axel walked in to the room. 

"Damn, baby, you really are trying to kill me. You look f*****g hot as hell." He said, again adjusting his erection.

"Would you like me  to change, love?" I asked him as I finished tying my shoes. I looked up into his eyes smiling.

"No, baby. You can wear whatever you want. You are just making it quite hard for me to wait to mark and mate with you." He said with a wink and gorgeous smile on his face. "Let's get you to the training arena."

I jumped up and grabbed his hand, lacing our fingers together. He chuckled and leaned down to kiss my temple. He led me out of the room and outside. I realized that as we were making our way outside, the pack members had begun following behind us. I turned, smiled, and waived at everyone. They all responded, "Good morning, Luna."

Axel whispered to me, "They all love you already, sweets. I am so proud of you." He then turned to the group behind us, "Good morning everyone. I am so glad that you were able to join us this morning."

"Good morning, Alpha. We all want to be there to support our Luna." One of the pack members responded. We continued until we reached an area that looked like a Colosseum from the days of the gladiators. It was amazing. I looked around and realized that Tina was standing in the middle of Colosseum. As she saw Axel and I holding hands, she became angry and shifted into a medium sized brown wolf. Axel stepped between us. 

"Now, you will remember the rules of this fight. It is a fight to submission only, no lethal blows, you both walk away from this. Do I make myself clear?" Axel said in his Alpha voice. Tina nodded her and I did the same. Axel walked to my side and kissed my forehead, "I will be waiting for you, my love."

I nod again, and walk to the center of the Colosseum. "Are you ready, Tina?" She nodded to me and got into her fighting position. I had chosen not to shift until I needed to. It is never good to only fight as a wolf, it makes you weaker. I used my hand to motion for her to begin. 

She charged at me and lunged for my neck. So, she is not going to listen to what Axel told her. I moved swiftly and grabbed her by the scruff of her neck and threw her into the a tree. She got up slowly and growled at me. Axel growled and stepped forward, "Tina, I said no lethal blows. If you try something like that again, I will not hesitate to take you down myself."

Tina nodded, and gave a small bow. She then turned back to me. She lunged again, going for my legs. I quickly brought up my right leg and kicked her in the face. She flew back, rolled back onto her paws, and growled. It was clear that she was now enraged. She was not being smart about her attacks. She lunged again and I quickly shifted in my wolf. Her footing faltered a bit in fear but she continued her attack. She again went for my legs, I jumped, twisted, and latched onto her neck. I put pressure on her neck, not enough to kill her but enough to get her to submit.

She tried to fight my grip. As she struggled, I increased the pressure. She continued to fight me. I lowered my body, and growled. She finally submitted and I let her go. I began walking over to Axel, whose eyes were shining with pride and love. I smiled, and then saw Axel's eyes go wide with fear and worry. I quickly turned to see Tina trying to lunge at me, however, she was blind sided by Eric who took her down. He was towering over her and growling fiercely.

Axel ran over to intervene and yelled, "Eric stand down. Tina, shift now." His voice boomed and you could tell he was beyond pissed off. I quickly ran to where clothes are stored just in case of sudden shifting. I shifted, grabbed some clothes, and threw them on. I ran back over only to see Axel holding Tina up by her neck. I grabbed his face, forcing him to look at me.

"Ax, baby, look at me. Let her go. Let us deal with it calmly. Please love, let her go." I pleaded with him to do the right thing and to let her go.

"I'm sorry, Alpha, please." She wheezed, trying to catch her breath.

Axel finally let her go and she fell to her feet. He wrapped his arms around my waist and I wrapped my arms around his neck. He put his face into the crook of my neck and began inhaling my scent to calm himself down. I kissed his cheek and then looked to Tina, someone had given her a shirt. She was on the ground and crying.

Axel eventually calmed down and then turned to her. "What the hell were you thinking attacking my mate like that?"

"I'm sorry, Alpha. I have never been beaten before. I as upset that she beat me so easily, that she gets you as a mate, and I was given a mate that was so low ranking. It's not fair." She said still crying.

Axel began to talk but I cut him off, "Did your mate accept the rejection?" I walked towards her and lowered myself to look into her eyes. 

"No," she said shaking.

"You can take back your rejection if you are wanting to. You should give your mate a chance, a title doesn't mean anything. It is the character of the man that makes the difference, you can be happy with your mate," I told her.

"She's right, Tina. I was not open, did not want to be around people, and I was not in the right mind frame to become Alpha. But when Jessie came into my life, we agreed to work to be good leaders by helping each other and opening ourselves up to our pack. Mates help each other grow," Axel added. 

"I am so sorry, can either of you forgive me, please? I let my emotions get the best of me on everything." She said through tears.

"Of course, we will forgive you but you will have to earn everyone's trust and respect again." She nodded, mumbling thank you. I noticed one of the male wolves walking closer to us and Tina stiffened. "Is that your mate?"

She just nodded and watched him approach. Axel whispered to her, "Tell him how you feel and ask him if he is willing to move forward with you. If he is, tell him you want to accept him."

Axel stood up, wrapped his arms around me, took a few steps back, and nuzzled my neck. We listened as Tina and her mate talked, he forgave her, she withdrew her rejection, and they accepted each other. They then both turned to us and her mate spoke told us, "Thank you for helping us come together, and for being such amazing leaders. You could have just thrown her in the dungeons, but instead you guided her and helped us both. I pledge my loyalty to Alpha Axel and Luna Jessie."

"Thank you. We look forward to working with you both. Lets all head inside, we will train tomorrow. Go rest and we will meet tomorrow at 8 for another movie night." Axel told the crowd. He then turned to me, "And we, my sexy little mate, are going upstairs." 

I giggled as Axel all but drug me to our bedroom. As soon as our door was closed and locked, we met each other in a tangled passionate kiss. Our clothes were falling to the floor faster than you could say the word jump. Axel was kissing me everywhere and his hands were exploring every inch of my body. I felt his fangs sink into my neck, marking me. The next thing I know I am waking up naked in my mates arms.
