New Beginnings

**Jessie's POV

"Holy shit..." I yelled as looked at the house. It wasn't even a house, it was a large estate with a huge mansion in the middle surrounded by hundreds of smaller houses. Even the smaller houses were at least two story houses, Victorian style with large wrap around porches. "Axel, this is not just a house. This is a damn mansion."

He chuckled at my reaction, "Sweet, we will be moving to a much larger house once we are King and Queen. The Moon Goddess already created it long ago and it is just waiting for us."

"Wait, what?" I asked, completely shocked. "Axel, I can barely comprehend that I will be living in the mansion. How am I supposed to get used to the idea of something bigger?"

"I told you, Jessie. I will be with you every step of the way. I know it will be an adjustment period for you, but you are a Queen, my love. We will eventually need to accept the roles the Moon Goddess left us and that we are destined for." He cupped my face in his large hands and caressed my cheeks. I lean into his touch as it was bringing me comfort and calming me down. "We will go to the secret library tomorrow so that you can start reading the books and learning what we are destined for and so that you can see everything for yourself. I want you to do everything at your pace."

"Thank you, Axel. I am just very nervous about all of this. This house is huge and there are so many people. In my old pack, the Alpha's house was about the same size as the houses over there and we had half the houses you guys do." I said as I wrapped my arms around his waist, "I am just scared that they aren't going to want me here, and that I will be a disappointment to people here like I was in my old pack. "

"Love, you have nothing to worry about. You are so strong, smart, resourceful, kind, and a blessing to us all. You are going to be amazing. I know you are scared, but you are not alone anymore. We are together," Axel told me as he enveloped me in his strong and warm embrace, "and as long as we have each other, nothing can hurt us. We will always have each other for support, compassion, respect, and love."

"Axel..." I had tears running down my face, his words melting my heart. I slowly leaned forward and got on my tip toes, I gently placed my lips on his. He was shocked for a minute before he took control of our kiss. I felt his hand gently rubbing and caressing my lower back, as his other hand moved to the back of my head tangling in my hair. I put my hands inside of his shirt and ran my hands slowly up and down his back. 

"Sweet, we better stop now or I may not be able to control myself. You have been getting me excited since the second I saw you," he said in a groan.

I giggled and pulled away, "The first time you saw me, I was naked."

He tightened his arms around me and said, "I remember, love. You were stunning and that image will forever be fixated in my mind. You are so damn sexy."

I giggled again and gave him a quick peck on his lips. "I really didn't mean to do that, I was just so caught up in your intoxicating scent that I was just trying to get to you. Moon is actually the one that told me to stop and reminded me that I was naked."

"Well I am glad she did, I don't want anything to happen until you are completely ready for it. And I want you to be in love with me when we make that decision to become intimate. I will wait for you for as long as you need. There is no rush for anything, love." Axel tells me as he nuzzles his nose into my neck inhaling my scent.

"Thank you, Axel. I am already falling in love with you. I am so lucky to have you as my mate, handsome."  His head quickly pulled away from my neck and looked into my eyes. "I can't wait to start my life with you. Can you show me to our room?"

He had a megawatt smile on his face. He quickly grabbed my hand, kissed it, and started leading me into the house. As we walked into the house, I was greeted by a grand foyer and an imperial staircase. There was a large hearth with grey brick going all the way up to the ceiling. It was absolutely gorgeous. I gasped at the beauty in this room. Grays and whites on all of the furniture, white walls. Gorgeous black and white paintings on the walls of the forest around us. 

"Axel, this is gorgeous. I love it." I said as I looked around the room at everything.

"My mom decorated everything, but if there is anything you want to change," he was telling me, and I reached up and covered his mouth.

"Shush, I love it," I said in awe. "When we move to the castle, we will decorate it the way that we would like it. I want us decided everything together but I may ask your mom for some help. This is gorgeous."

"Of course, sweet," he says as he kisses my hand. "Let's continue. The first floor has the kitchen, living room, the ballroom, the game room, the gym, and the indoor pool. The foyer here is where we hold some of our meetings. The second floor houses the higher ranking wolves and their families. The third floor houses my office, my dad's office, the Luna's office, the conference rooms, and a massage room. And the top floor, it for the Alpha's family and second in command. So mom and dad have the master bedroom, our room is next to theirs, there is another room for you that you can use whenever you want, Eric and Isaiah's room is up there, and then there is a nursery. Mom and dad never got to use it. It was meant to be for us but we won't be here for that. I feel really bad about that."

"I have a feeling that they will need is the future," I said with a smirk. I hadn't told Axel about my gift yet but I will soon. "So no feeling bad, Ax. Come on, show me our room.We have all that bedding that we bought today to put on it and all those clothes to put away."

Axel chuckled, "Love, my mom ran from the car to get everything set up for you, for us. No need to fret. Lets go up to our room anyways, I want to make sure everything is to your liking."

He began walking towards the stairs and guided my to the top floor to his room. I could tell that he was slightly nervous, so I gave his hand a light squeeze. He glanced over his shoulder at me and gave me an awkward smile. He is just too cute. As if I am not going to like anything that has to do with him. 

"Ok, love. Please let me know if you want to change anything or if you need anything. If you don't like something in the room just let me know and I will change anything that you want. This is your room too, so .." He was rambling with nervousness as we are standing outside to a door.

"Ax, baby, I will love it. Relax, please. Lets go inside and we will see if either of us want to change anything at all." I lean forward and kiss his cheek quickly. "Come on. I want to see it."

I grabbed his hand and pulled him into the room as I opened the door. We walked in and I was in awe, seeing a huge four-post bed with light blue and white bedding, white walls, and silver accessories every where. It was stunning. 

"Axe...," I whispered, "I love it. It's so beautiful."

"Not nearly as beautiful as you," he said as he wrapped his arms around me from behind. "I am so happy that I found you, Jessie. You have already started to change me and I am happy for that."

"You don't need to change, Axel. You are wonderful as you are." I told him with nothing but sincerity and adoration.

"But I do, love, like you I have been closed off to other people. I only have 5 people that I trust and talk to. You are one of them. I really don't interact with the rest of the pack unless it is to relay orders or get everyone situated for training or things like that. Being an orphan and finding out I was a werewolf by myself, I have a few trust issues myself. But having you by my side, I already feel like being more friendly with people," He tells me as he nestles his head in my neck. 

"Axel, like you keep telling me, we will get through all of this together. I am still scared but I have you to help me right?" He simply nodded to my question. "So then we will learn to open up together. I am so happy to have met you too. I promise to open up, work on my trust issues, and become a good Luna and Queen. You work on opening up too, and becoming a good Alpha and King. Deal?"

"Deal, my love. Seal it with a kiss?" Axel asked me with a wicked grin.

I turned in his arms, wrapped my arms around his neck, and kissed him with everything in me. Axel, again, took control of the kiss. I heard him groan into the kiss as I smiled into it. Axel began smiling too, but still didn't break the kiss.

We continued kissing each other and the intensity was increasing. Soon my hands had made their way into his hair as I tugged lightly on his hair. His hands roamed from my lower back to my ass as he squeezed it lightly. I gasped and he took that moment to slip his tongue into my mouth. He continued to explore every nook of my mouth, and then began to taste my tongue sucking into his mouth. Our kisses were becoming more and more passionate and intense. I was completely lost in the taste and feel of Axel’s kiss and touch, I was swimming in nothing but him. I didn’t ever want this feeling to stop.

Axel's hands began exploring my body. I was a little scared but I was also enjoying the feeling. I pressed my body into his harder and heard him groan. His lips left mine and traveled down to my jaw and then to my neck, where he began to lick, nibble, and suck on my sweet spot. The spot where he would claim me for the werewolf world to know that I am his true mate and he is mine. My knees were getting weak from the pleasure I was receiving from his exploration, and the feel of his hard length on my stomach. His hands were making their way up from hips to my breasts, his hands gently grabbed my breasts and he growled low in his throat.

"Jesus, Jessie..." His voice was raspy and full of desire. "Your are perfect, love. You taste so..."

We were interrupted by the sound of a knock and quickly jumped apart trying to catch our breath. Unfortunately, our visitor didn't wait to be welcomed in and quickly opened the door. I was panting and beet red all. Isaiah walked in, "Hey, Axel, are we..."

A loud growl rumbled from Axel's chest. I reached over and ran my hand up and down his arm, trying to help him calm down. He glanced over at me, and gave me an awkward smile. "Isaiah, did I tell you to come in? Why knock if you're just gonna come in?"

"I've never waited for you to tell me to come in before. Why would I start now?" Isaiah looked and me and noticed my flushed cheeks and then looked to Axel. He then noticed the clearly visible erection that Axel was trying to cover. "Oh s**t, sorry bro. I didn't realize you guys were busy."

"Isaiah, with Jessie now living in my room, you have to wait to come in. What if she had been changing?" Axel tried changing the subject and I giggled under my breath.

"Dude, I am sorry. You're right. I also don't want to be want to be walking in while yall are getting down and dirty," he said chuckling. He sent me a quick wink to which I felt myself instantly blushing, again.

Axel pulled me into his side, kissed my temple, and whispered in my ear. "Ignore him, my love. He's just jealous that you have me all to yourself now. And I'm sorry, baby, I didn't mean to rush you into anything that you are not ready for. I'm sorry."

 "You have nothing to be sorry for, Ax. I was fine with what we were doing but I do want us wait to mark each other. I will let you know if I am ever uncomfortable or don't want to do anything. I trust you." I told him and gave him a quick peck on his lips. Beside us, I heard Isaiah clearing his throat. 

"Guys, I'm still in the room. I really did come here with a purpose." Isaiah told us as he came further into the room. "Dinner will be served soon and people have already heard about Jessie. They are pretty excited to meet her, so I was wondering if we are announcing her tonight?"

I immediately stiffened in Axel's arms, I don't know if I can do this. I mean meeting the whole pack, I knew it would come up eventually but this quick. I could hear my heart rate pick up and my breathing become labored. Axel turned me to look directly into my eyes, and began rubbing my arms. "Baby, I am here. It's ok. We don't have to do anything you are not ready for. We can just stay in our room and eat dinner in here. Please relax love."

Moon: Jessie, calm down. We will be ok. We are just meeting them and they will love you. You just have to be yourself.

Jessie: Ok, we can do this but I don't want to do it right now. This is too much.

Moon: Ok, then lets stay with Axel and come up with a plan for later.

"Thanks, Axel. I'd like it if we just stayed in here tonight. But is it really ok that we do that?" I didn't really want to do anything to get him in trouble.

"Of course, love. You deserve a night to relax after everything you have been through today. No one will care if we wait to introduce to you to the pack. I will introduce you to a few of the higher ups tomorrow morning and the rest of the pack another time if that is ok with you?" He asked while running his knuckles softly against my cheek.

"Ok, ho..hon..honey." The last word coming out as a whisper, I wanted to try out a pet name, he's always so sweet with me but I was worried about saying it.

Axel turned, cupped my face in his hands, kissed me passionately and whispered against my lips, "Oh, love, that made me very happy. Isaiah, please let my parents know that we will be having dinner in our room tonight. I'll be down in a minute to make some plates for us."

Isaiah just sighed and exited the room. Axel continued to hold my face in his big palms, his thumbs lightly stroking my cheeks. As he stared into my eyes, I felt myself drowning in his stormy grey eyes. I could see all the love, adoration, affection, and want in his eyes. "I'm so lucky you came into my life, Ax."

"I am the lucky one, Jessie. You have already brought so much joy into my life. I am not going to push anything on you, I just want to make you happy and show you that wolves can be trusted. I want you to have everything you have ever wanted, baby." I felt the tears in my eyes as he spoke. "Now, go shower, the bathroom is on the right, and there are fresh towels. Get your pajamas on, and jump onto the bed. We will snuggle and watch a movie while we eat our dinner."

I nodded and smiled as Axel kissed my cheek. He walked out of the room and left me to clean up. I went to the dresser and grabbed some underwear and pajamas, and made my way to the bathroom to take a shower. I hadn't had an actual shower in years, I can't wait.

I turned on the water and waited for the water to warm up. I walked over to the vanity and saw all of the moisturizers and supplies that Cristin bought me today. A feeling of rightness and family washed over me. I saw the steam rising from the shower head and made my way over to the shower. As I stepped under the shower spray a moan of contentment and relaxation came out of my mouth. The water rushing down my body felt amazing and I was beyond happy. I washed my hair, put in the hair mask that Cristin bought me, and washed my body. I shaved my legs and armpits so that I was clean everywhere, thank goodness Cristin had told me how to shave before we met up with everyone. Once I was shaved and cleaned, I realized how amazing my skin felt.

As I finished my shower, I turned off the water and stepped out of the shower. I dried my body head to toe, put on the lotion, and put on my white silk pajamas. They felt perfect against my freshly cleaned skin. I put the moisturizes on my face and quickly tied my hair up into a messy bun. 

I walked out of the bathroom and was greeted by my sexy mate shirtless with two trays of food sitting on the bed and waiting for me. God, what an amazing site to see. I walked over with a blush on my face. Axel chuckled and patted the bed next to him.

"I grabbed some movies for us to watch. I have Constantine, A Million Ways to Die in the West, Big Hero 6, and It. What do you want to watch?" Axel asked with a smirk on his face, he knew I was struggling to concentrate with him shirtless. 

"I don't know what any of those are, Ax.I want to watch whichever one is funny."I told him as I sat next to him and pulled a tray of food towards me.

"Ok, A Million Ways to Die in the West it is then. There is a cola and a bottled water on the night stand next to the bed for you. I wasn't sure what you would want." He tells me as he gets up to start the movie.

I smile to myself as reach over to grab the cola, he is so sweet. I watch as he sets up the movie and watch the muscles of his back flex and ripple as he moves. Damn, my mate is one sexy beast. He turned to come back to bed and caught me checking him out. "Thank you for tonight, Ax. The shower, the food, the movies, and mostly the time with you. You are are the most amazing mate a girl could ask for."

"Oh, love, for you I would move mountains to make you smile like that. And having you check me out, is the most amazing thing I could I ever ask for." He smiled as he climbed back into the bed next me, he leaned over and kissed my cheek while I blushed like a crazy person.

The movie started and we began eating our dinner, talking here and there throughout the movie. After we finished our food, Axel moved the trays to the floor. We laid down and snuggled into each other's arms. I felt so safe, happy, and comfortable. The movie was over half over and I was falling asleep. I rested my head on Axel's chest, his heartbeat lulling me. And before I knew it, I was out.

**Axel's POV

I woke up to the sight of my gorgeous mate spooned in my arms, her back against my chest. Since she showered last night, her scent has become so much stronger and sweeter. She never smelled bad, but she definitely smelt better with an actual shower. I buried my face in her hair for a few minutes while playing with the ends of her hair. God, I am already falling so deeply in love with this amazing woman.

I looked at the clock and realized we only had about 2 hours until the meeting and I needed to feed my mate. I slowly slide out of the bed being extra careful not to wake Jessie. I wanted to give her a bit longer since she was going to have a long day ahead of her. I picked up the trays and dishes from last night to take downstairs. 

As I walked into the kitchen, I asked the cooks to make two omelets with some hash browns. While they started cooking, I poured two glasses of orange juice and then grabbed a bottle of water too. I placed the drinks on the tray and shortly after two plates of food were added. I quickly thanked the cooks and made my way back upstairs to wake Jessie.

As I walked in the door, I saw Jessie sitting up in the bed stretching. "Good morning, love. I have breakfast for us. How'd you sleep?"

As I walked over, I set the tray down and sat next to Jessie on the bed. She reached out and grabbed my hand telling me,"That is the best sleep I have had since my parents. I didn't think I'd be able to sleep with you next to me but I already trust you and feel super safe and comfortable with you. It was also the first time I have ever shared a bed with anyone."

"It was the first time for me too, love. I slept like a log last night, it was the best sleep I have ever had." I say as I caress her cheek softly. "Okay, babe. Time to eat. We don't have much time until the meeting of the higher ups, if you are still up for it?"

I moved the tray over to the bed and hand her a fork. "I'm still up for it as long as you are by my side."

"I would never leave you to deal with this alone," I told her seriously. "I will be by your side through everything. Besides, I don't want any of the unmated males too close to you."

"Oh, Axe." She said chucking and then grabbing some of her food. I watched her eating her breakfast, and slowly grabbed a bite of mine. I leaned over and kissed her cheek.

"We have a little over an hour until the meeting, sweets. So when you are done eating, do whatever you want to do to get ready." I told her as I continued eating my breakfast. We finished our breakfast in a comfortable silence and then Jessie ran to the bathroom to get ready. I heard the shower turn on and went to the closet to get changed. I just threw on a pair of jeans, tennis shoes, and a white dress shirt. I'll take shower after the meeting.

Jessie came out of the bathroom with her hair thrown up into a messy bun, and nothing on but a towel. I groaned as my gut clenched in need. She was looking at the floor and mumbled out an apology. I told her I would be outside the door so she could get dressed.

Duke: Holy s**t, our mate is beyond hot.

Axel: I know, right? I could barely control myself when she came out in nothing but a towel. 

Duke: You handled that quite well, her wolf was very happy with how we respected her.

Axel: Good, I want to make sure she knows how much I love and respect her.

Duke: Did you just say love? We have only known her a day.

Axel: Don't act like you don't love them too. Besides, you can feel how I feel about her. It may not be true love yet but it will be soon.

Duke: I know, I just wasn't expecting you to admit it so soon. She is everything we will ever need or want. 

Axel: Agreed.

They door opened soon after and out came Jessie in a pair of tight skinny jeans, and blue cropped top that made her eyes pop. "Is this ok or should I dress up more?"

"Jessie, you look amazing. I want you to change but just because I think you look so good that other wolves will try to steal you away from me." I told her with a slight pout on my face.

She giggled and told me, "No one could ever steal me away from you, Ax. You are mate and I am all yours."

I nodded my head, grabbed her hand, intertwined our fingers, and lead her down the hall to the conference room. As we got outside the door, I stopped and turned to face her. "If at any time you feel uncomfortable or want to leave, just tell me and we will leave. You do not have to do anything you are not ready to do."

She stood on her tiptoes and kissed me. "Ok, Ax. I'll be ok, I promise."

I leaned down and kissed her again, pouring my love for her into the kiss. I pulled away when my lungs were burning for air. I rested my forehead on hers, and stared into her eyes. We stood there for a few minutes absorbed in each other's eyes. "Ok, lets go in. I can hear everyone inside. They are excited to meet you."

She nodded her head, and I turned back around to open the door. As soon as the door was opened and Jessie was in the room, everyone gasped. Isaiah and Eric ran up to her and embraced her in a hug in which she began giggling. I laughed at their response. 

Zeus cleared his throat and said with a laugh, "Boys, would you mind releasing our future Luna so that she can meet everyone else in the room?"

"Sorry, Alpha." They said together, and released Jessie. She laughed as they let go, and immediately grabbed my hand in hers again. I pulled her into my side and kissed her temple.

"Axel, would you like to do the honors of introducing your mate?" My dad asked me as he pulled my mom into his arms.

"Everyone, I would like you all to meet my amazing mate, Jessie Lamont. She is your future Luna, and her word is a strong as my own. I do expect her to be treated with respect and love." I looked at every one in the room. "She will also be working with our warriors and assisting with trainings on how to defend against rogues, witches, vampires, everything that she encountered in her life. She will be an great addition and resource to our pack."

I looked over to see Jessie blushing. She looked up and smiled at me before looking back at the crowd to address them. "Hello everyone, I am Jessie Lamont. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone and helping in any way that I can. I want everyone to feel like they can come to me with any wants and needs."

I was so proud of her, she just spoke like a true Alpha. She is going to make an outstanding Queen. I can't wait til she grows into her confidence and into her roles. I smiled like the Chesire cat as I saw the pride shining in my parents eyes, and the happiness in our pack members eyes.

"Well said, Jessie. We are so proud that you are joining our pack." My dad told her.

"I couldn't agree more, Jessie." My mom said as she came over and embraced Jessie is a bone crushing hug.

"Hey mom, can you please not break my mate? I will love her not matter what but she is perfect as she is." I said laughing.

"Oh shush. I can hug her all I want." Mom was smiling like a kid at Christmas.

After my mom released her, I walked Jessie around the room and introduced her to everyone individually. She did great, and made sure everyone felt comfortable approaching her and consulting with her. She shook everyone's hand and talked to them about their wants and desires for the pack. I could tell that they all loved her and were completely impressed with her. 

I look over to our head chef, Darla. They have similar personalities and since Jessie has a sweet tooth, I figured she would may want to learn to bake. I wanted her to be happy here. "Darla, this is my mate, Jessie. Jessie, this is our head chef. I think you two will become great friends."

Jessie shook Darla's hand and asked, "So is there anything in the kitchen that needs worked on or improved? Is there anything I can be of assistance with?"

"Future Luna..." Darla started but Jessie interrupted her. 

"Jessie, please. I have a feeling that we will be close." She told her happily.

"Ok, Lu..I mean Jessie. The kitchen and the staff are in good shape. We would like to try baking some additional goodies for everyone, we are already trying out some new recipes." Darla told her.

"I would love to help, if I can." Jessie was so excited with the prospect of helping that she was lightly bouncing on her feet.

"We would love that, Jessie." Jessie's smile grew even bigger with that. You could tell that Darla just made Jessie very happy. "We also need more people on the soccer teams, we don't really have enough people to make full teams."

"Oh my, God! I'll play. I love soccer, I used play all the time when I was little and still practiced as I was growing up. Can I join your team?"
