Chapter Fourteen

958 Words
Amaria's POV After the initial shock, I quickly douse the flames with water. I now have control of all four elements. That means Ash and I are destined to have the Elemental twins. Ash must not be able to tell what I'm feeling because he grins, "This is not a good thing, Ash. I'm freaking out here." I say, read filling my voice. His smile falters for a second, "I'm excited that you've gotten all of your elements. I'm also terrified for our future kids, but this," he places a hand on my collarbone, "This is what I am smiling about." I get up, walking to the mirror, to see what he's talking about. In the middle of my left collarbone, in small red letters, is the initials A.D. I look over my shoulders at Ash's collarbone, and my initials were there as well. He stands behind me, planting a kiss on top of my head, "We are fully mated now, Amaria. When you hurt, I hurt. When you feel pleasure, so will I." I turn to face my mate, kissing him. "We cannot bring children into this realm with Sariyah still out there. We have to move forward with our plan. Let's go find our parents." We dress quickly, heading over to my father's cabin first. He sees my mark on my shoulders and smiles. "Dad, we need to head over to Calissa's to talk, in private," I tell him, he nods, following us to Calissa's cabin. When Calissa sees my mark she motions us inside, "You guys have completed the mating process! I'm so excited for you both!" She moves to hug us, but she stops, staring at me in shock, "Oh goddess, you have control of Fire now." "What? Little Lily, why didn't you tell me," my father asks, anger filling his features. "It just happened, dad. The curtains caught on fire after we....," I trail off, too embarrassed to finish that sentence. Understanding dawns in my father's eyes. He looks away, coughing into his arm. "After gaining my fourth element and hearing the Tale of the Elemental Twins, Ash and I feel like we should move up our plan." I wait for our parents' reactions, they both nod in unison, "Well then it's settled. Tomorrow we set out to gain allies. I'm going to get Colton to talk about having some warriors accompany us." Before I have the chance to leave Ash grabs onto my hand, "I want to go with you. I do not trust Colton." Not wanting to argue with him, I let him tag along. "Do not tell him about you gaining fire." I nod. We don't know him, I wouldn't be sharing that information anytime soon. We reach his cabin, and I knock. A few moments later, a half-asleep, Colton answers the door, "Ah, the little one and her mate are disturbing me at this ungodly hour," he says, rubbing the sleep from his eyes, "To what do I owe the pleasure?" Ash grunts, but I ignore him, "Do you mind if we come inside to speak?" He steps aside to let us in. "I would prefer it if it was just you, little one, but I guess your mate can tag along." Ash grabs him by the throat, with one hand, holding him up in the air, "Watch your mouth. I will not tolerate disrespect towards my mate." He c*cks back his other hand to swing at him. I throw my hands apart, using Air to pull Ash away from Colton. "Ash, breathe," I wait for his eyes to turn back to the beautiful purple color, "Are we ready to behave like adults," I ask, looking both of them in their eyes. Nodding, I release Ash, I don't let Colton off the hook so easily, though. Using my free hand I create a bubble of water, the size of his head. I move it dangerously close to his face, "I am a fully mated woman. I will never accept any of your advances. If I were you, I would stop while I was ahead, Colt." I position the water bubble on the tip of his nose, "We wouldn't want you to drown." He holds eye contact, for a moment, before looking away. With a nod, from him, I let him go. He smirks, "I had no idea you guys were fully mated. You didn't have a mark the other day." I show him my collarbone, but Ash is the one who answers him, "We did not come here to talk about our mark, We came to discuss a change in plans." Ash steps in front of me then. "This change of plans wouldn't have anything to do with the fire I saw from your window earlier tonight, would it," He asks, watching for our reactions. I keep my face neutral, not wanting to give anything away before I'm ready, "No, it wouldn't. I feel like I have had enough time to prepare. It is time we start building my army. Maldows Isles have suffered enough." His thoughtful expression throws me for a loop, "When do we leave little one?" "I want to give everyone time to say goodbye to their loved ones, so tomorrow night," I know he understands what I mean when his expression turns somber. This may be the last time they see their loved ones. "Well now that this has been settled, we'll get out of your hair," Ash and I head towards the front door, Colton calls out before we leave. "Little one, congrats on being fully mated." I smile my thanks and leave. Ash and I made it back home and collapse in our bed, holding each other as we drift off to sleep.
