Cassandra’s POV Axel shoved the door fully open, leaning on the frame as though he owned the space. His grin stayed sharp and daring, and his eyes locked on mine. Draven drifted behind him, slow and deliberate, his shoulders a lazy slope of confidence. Brian, always the quiet anchor, lingered furthest back, arms folded and unreadable as ever. “What do you guys want? You’re wasting my time.” I said impatiently, trying not to sound affected by their stares and appearance. “Uh… to finish what we started?” Axel said, his tone light, but there was a heat in his gaze that made my pulse quicken.
