Brian’s POV “Very funny,” I deadpanned, crossing my arms. “No, it isn’t. If you think I’m lying, maybe we should have Lana taste this. Kids don’t lie.” She suggested, still laughing. Once Cassandra mentioned Lana, like a switch flipping, my stomach sank as I remembered I had made a plate of the same disaster and offered it to Lana to eat. “Lana!” I blurted out, panic lacing my voice as I shot to my feet. Cassandra’s laughter died instantly. “What? What’s wrong?” “She’s eating it too!” I shouted, already bolting toward the stairs.
