When I got outside, the cars were crawling to a stop.
I was shocked to see the SUV's were badly damaged, they had left with four but returned in two.
There was a lot of soot from the cars, it seems one or both cars have developed a faulty engine.
The first thing that crossed my mind was that they had been in an accident.
My heart jumped and lodged itself in my throat.

But in that moment when it seemed likey life was about to flash before my eyes, I flung the accident theory right out of my head, faster than anyone could say jack.

Both cars had lost their bumper, one had a cracked windshield, while another had completely lost its windshield.
