Arianna's pov..
I wrapped myself and Kayla up in a thicker blanket, as it had gotten colder.
I was about to dose off when I thought I heard a dull thud.
It wasn't a heavy thud and the only reason I heard it was because I hadn't really fallen asleep yet and my ear was to the ground.
Kayla and I were still curled up on the thick rug on the ground in the living room.
I stayed still for a second, my plan was to wait if I would hear another sound or any other disturbances.
But my training and my instincts were screaming.
