A knock at the door got my attention, I walked slowly to the door and taking a deep breath I opened it to see Joey standing there. He smiled at me awkwardly with his hands shoved in his jacket pockets. I moved out of the way so he could come in, he took his jacket off and I took it to hang on one of the hooks by the door. “I set us up in the kitchen if that’s okay with you. My parents apparently had plans with yours apparently so we don’t have to worry about interruption.” I walked into the kitchen and pulled the iced tea I made earlier out of the fridge. I also put some ice in two glasses and set everything out on the table. “Do you want anything to snack on, I didn’t know if you were hungry at all?”
