I was sitting with all the ladies in my life planning the joint baby shower for Amy and myself. We both want to keep it to just close family and friends, but we also want to make it out far enough in advance for Dean and Amy’s family to be able to make it if they want. Amy didn’t want to have a separate party back in Tennessee since she is getting later in her pregnancy. She had told me that their families understood their decision to stay in Georgia and most of them were willing to travel. Amy and Dean announced they were having a little girl in their invitation, however we decided to still be surprised and I liked the idea of neutral items that we can reuse when we decide we are ready for more kids.
