As the days moved on more and more information came to light. They were able to confirm with the hotel Mark had been staying there for a while but the desk clerk only dealt with him when he was paying for the room. The officers had found receipts from stores in the motel room and in the vehicle Mark had. They also learned that Mark seemed to frequent a specific bar for a while then suddenly stopped, to which it was figured that was about the time Amy had thought she saw him. After conversing with the various staff at that bar and showing the pictures the dots were connected on Mark and Karen knowing each other. It was just horrible luck that the two most horrible people somehow found each other to team up against us. As Morgan and I learned more it started to make more and more sense
