Reunite
“How are you feeling?"
I hurriedly asked my brother as soon as his eyes opened. He was moved here in his original room after staying a day in the ICU where he stayed at right after his surgery. Seeing him opening his eyes right now puts me at ease.
"I'm okay ate." he weakly said.
His voice is hoarse and he still looks pale even after two days. He can barely open his eyes while letting out a deep sigh. I tightly held his hand, relieved that he was finally awake.
Dr. Reyes, the doctor who led my brother’s surgery, arrived shortly. I back away to give them space so they can check my brother’s condition. He has two nurses besides him while they ask them to do checking on my brother. Shortly, my parents also arrived with mom bombarding Dr. Reyes questions
