After an understandably fitful night in the spare bedroom — this after not disappointing her assessment of his reaction to what he had read and banging his fists upon their locked bedroom door and raging at the wife who remained silent and unresponsive inside — Saturday morning found Robert Upson conforming to her expectations even more exactly.
Finally finding the door to their bedroom unlocked and entering to find her in another room of a locked kind; showering in the en-suite; he packed a few belongings into a holdall and drove himself to the office that he might have some time alone to think his responses through.
