Chapter Fourteen

1487 Words

Chapter Fourteen Robert Robert Upson was in hell. If his wife was aware and concerned by the length of time he had spent away from the comfort of the home she had told him he could return to only under certain… conditions… then he was, for totally different reasons, equally as anxious or, to be more factual, terrified that he may have experienced its comfort and security for the last time. But how could he possibly return? What she was demanding of him was so far beyond the limits of acceptable behaviour it would be impossible for him to give in to what she wanted — even if, as he suspected, it was just some perverted passing fad that had taken command of her senses with such suddenness and would pass just as swiftly once she had indulged it and come to realise what it was making her.
