1 Say bye

I walked into the house and put my car keys down in the bowl by the door I slipped off my red Jimmy Choos wondering why the hell I put the damn things on in the first place after tossing them against the wall I looked around for my slides but as I reached for them I noticed a pair of cheap Gucci knock-off heels

I know those aren’t mine

I stared at them for a moment and noticed the trail of clothing leading up to the stairs leading to the bedroom our bedroom

Forgetting to put on my slides I silently walked towards our room never once making a sound but as I got to the end of the stairs at the center of the hall my ears picked up a moan followed by grunts

At the same moment that Neymar asked I felt a scorching pain surge in my chest I felt the searing daggers of his betrayal that I always felt when he beds another woman

I took a deep breath as I fought the pain and walked straight to our room

Neymar howled at our mates betrayal

‘I’m sorry Neymar but we have to let go’

She whined and I calmly opened the door and said “Look Ignacio I know you have a bad habit of cheating on me but bringing home one of your conquest is where I draw the line” I look up to see him staring at me wide eyed as he stammered “Enyo you-you were supposed to come ho-home tomorrow”

“You brought her here in our home… in our room Ignacio you know Elio is home!”

He flinched like he hadn’t thought about our son I took a deep breath suppressing Neymar who wanted to attack them both and took a deep breath

“Enyo you know these girls don’t mean anything”

I looked at him Ignacio was a tall man 6’5 with a built body and broad shoulders, he was tan and had dark brown hair and caramel brown eyes that sparkle when he smiled and whispered sweet words at the sign of an inconvenience

He had a silver tongue making him a successful “business” man and he was strong and ruthless handsome specimen to human standard

He was my mate

I felt the tears build in my eyes of never being able to mark him because he didn’t know what I was and I wanted to protect my heart

“Enyo mi corazón you know my heart belongs to you”

I took a deep breath once more feeling the pain numb as I spoke

“I’m done Ignacio I loved you but you didn’t love me you never did you just married me because I was going to have your son- because I had Elio you never once loved me as much as I did you”

“Enyo that’s not true and what do you mean did?”

I took a deep breath and pulled my arms out of his grip wondering when he dared touch me

And said “I did love you Ignacio but my heart can only take so much and this pain I feel in my chest is something that I can’t handle anymore so I Enyo De Rosario reject you Ignacio Diaz”

As I said those words I saw genuine pain flash through his eyes and he dropped to his knees

He looked up at me devastated and I sneered at him “I’m leaving Ignacio and I’m taking Elio you can see him on the weekends but don’t expect to ever see me again you don’t deserve to… and don’t bother about my finances Ignacio I make enough to provide for Elio and myself for the next 60 years and don’t even think of pulling anything underhanded to any of my clubs because I will tell my brother and he and I will destroy you”

His eyes widened and he said “Fine I accept your rejection and I’ll have them send over the divorce papers” as he unknowingly accepted my rejection I felt as a part of myself died and as I watched him clench his eyes shut briefly

I know he felt it too

“Okay” was all I said as Neymar howled in pain I turned around ignoring the girl that was scrambling to get her belongings together and walked out of the room back to the beginning of the hall to the first door where my sweet Elio was

I gently knocked on the door and said “Elio are you up baby?” I didn’t wait for a response and opened the door only to find my Elio curled up in a little ball facing the wall

‘Pup heard everything his hearing is like our own now’

As Neymar uttered those words all I could feel was my anger flared back up “Elio?” I called to him as I walked to his bed “Elio baby I’m sorry you heard everything” as I said that he sprung from his place tackling me into a hug as he sobbed

“No Mama I’m sorry… I’m so sorry Papa did this… Mama” he cried into my shoulder and I held him there feeling as he soothed my pain and after crying for a while he said “Can you help me pack mama I don’t want to be here anymore Papa does this too much and too loudly mama” he squeezed my arms as he looked at me with his tear filled stormy grey eyes

I smoothed back his curly black hair grateful that he looked more like me than him

I kissed his forehead and smiled “Of course baby when we’re done can you help me pack too” I tilted my head to the left and he smiled tilting his head to the right his grey eyes clearing up leaving a tinge of redness as he stopped crying “Of course Mama what kind of man would I be making you do all the work” I kissed his cheek and we got to work

Once we were done with my bag and his I gathered everything putting it in the Back of my jeep and as soon as I slammed the trunk shut I pulled out my phone and dialed a number I hadn’t called in a long time

I sat there listening to it ring hoping and praying that he still had the same number after all these years and finally I heard him “Enyo!” I felt my heart fall out of my ass as I smiled and said “Edan it’s been so long” I heard him chuckle too and he said “it’s been too long Enyo… what happened are you okay?”

I took a deep breath and answered honestly knowing that I could never lie to him “No Edan I finally rejected him and Elio and I are leaving I just don’t know where I should go” I let out a sigh and heard him sigh too “Enyo I saw that you opened a nightclub here in California near my pack why don’t you come live with me and I’ll talk to the Alpha right away and ask”

I felt Neymar's excitement at the thought of being around other wolves after 8 long years and said “That would be amazing Edan I didn’t even know you were in a pack I thought you were still a lone wolf” he chuckled this time and said “I was but luckily I met an Alpha shifter like us after you had gone off to college and he asked me to join his pack and honestly this place is great you’re gonna love it and I’m sure Elio who I’m guessing is my nephew is going to love it here too”

I only smiled and said “Then it’s settled Edan Elio and I are going to live with you I’ll let you know when we land” I could hear his smile as he said “And I’ll be waiting- haaaa bye Enyo I love you baby sis” I laughed “By 4 minutes Edan but I love you too I’ll see you soon” as soon as I hung up I hear my baby shout

“Mama I’m ready!”

As he hops down the steps I turn to look at him only to see his father holding his hand he was now fully dressed in his designer suit with god detailing and he looked at me with a look of regret and he said “Enyo”

I turned away from him and smiled at Elio “I’m glad your ready baby did you say bye to your father?” I saw from the corner of my eye that he flinched but I kept my face neutral to his reactions and waited for Elio who turned to look at his father and smiled sadly “Bye papa”

Ignacio crouched down to hug him and then Elio said quietly unaware of the fact thatI could hear him clearly “I’ll see you sometime soon Papa and I don’t understand what all those women had that mama didn’t but I’m sorry you didn’t know how to hold onto her”

Ignacio flinched and Elio kissed his cheek and let go walking to me and taking a hold of my hand “Okay Mama I said bye to Papa”

I nodded gesturing to the back seat of my Jeep and said “The cars open so how about you hopin and I’ll buckle you up in a bit” Elio only nodded and then waved at Ignacio

As soon as I heard him shut the door I turned back to look up at Ignacio who was now standing in my personal space we looked eachother in the eye as he said “Don’t leave”

Those two words were like daggers to my chest and with as much venom I could muster I said “I should have done this sooner… he didn’t deserve this, but your selfish Diaz and that’s something I can’t live with anymore” I pushed him back ready to walk away but was stopped short when his hand grimly grasped mine I turned back to look at him and he was looking at our hands like something wasn’t right

‘So he felt the sparks...’

Neymar whined and all I could say to her was

Now he’s just Elio’s dad

I pulled my hand from his no longer feeling our bond and said “You and I are nothing but Elios Mother and Father”

He stood there an unknown emotion on his face

Ignoring him I walked over to Elio who was sitting in the back seat open the door to check his seat belt

He looked up at me sleepily and smiled as he said “I buckled in Mama” I nodded and kissed his forehead and then pulled away and closed his door walking over to mine and looked at Ignacio one last time and said “Elio will call you when we land in California”

He looked at me his face hard but his eyes betrayed him showing how much this affected him but he simply nodded as if not trusting himself to speak

I open the door climbing in and buckled in and as soon as I set my phone in the holder I started the engine and took off
