Elijah's POV
The following day, Julia and I spent more quality time together. I woke her up with breakfast in bed and a beautiful bouquet of red roses with a note:
"My love, Luna, and wife-to-be enjoy your day at work. I will see you at the office."
Arriving at the office, it felt like I was way behind on my meetings. Surprisingly, Sam and Christian helped out while I was away for a few days and had me caught up for the week. It made me look forward to a weekend with Julia even better. Sam and Colleen were leaving Monday morning for their getaway, and we would have little Serenity for the week. Dr. Moss was finally free this afternoon; we would discover what was wrong with Julia in the past few weeks. This weekend was going to be perfect.
