Alpha Leonardo; “What do you mean, Aunt?” I gripped her arm and pulled her to the side. “Don’t start with your jokes. You just arrived at the Packhouse.” “Have I ever joked with stuff like this?” She smiled hard. “You joke with everything, Aunt, and today is not a great day for me.” Checking my wristwatch, “I have a meeting with those old men. You know how they can be. I need to leave now.” I kissed her on her forehead. Without waiting to hear more of what she was about to say, I stormed out of the office. Aunt Marigold could be a lot of things and I thought after all these years that she left our pack to be in another pack, she had adjusted a little. But seeing her right now, I could tell time did nothing to her. But yeah, I missed her so much. She has been my backbone ever since
