I don’t waste time once I step outside. The night air is too cold, brushing against my skin like a warning, but I ignore it and keep moving, heading north toward the Northern Ridge, just as Nora instructed. I let the wind guide me. It slips through the trees in soft whistles, curling around me as if it knows the way better than I ever could in this state. Without my wolf, everything feels dulled… muted… empty. Still, I keep going, moving through the shadows, keeping to the edges of the pack like I don’t belong here—because I don’t. And then, finally, I stop.
