Chapter Three

Silvio's Pov

The burning sensation on my face was so unbearable, but the sharp pain in my heart was more excruciating.

I reached out to my scalded face, damn that hurts. How did my life get so messed up?

I am a full grown man but lack the capabilities to make a decisions of my own.

Coming from the kind of family I was brought up in, I never had a choice.

Before I was born, my life was already planned out - to take over the family business – as if that wasn’t enough, I am now stripped of the right to choose my own partner by my Mom who’s just so f*****g obsessed with my life.

What a pathetic live I’ve got.

She was the only light I had in my dark life.

The only one who managed to bring a smile to my face and now I have to let go of that too.

Well, before you think of me as the worst guy on planet earth who would cheat on his girlfriend, let me explain what happened earlier.

I was in my office when Gina walked in seductively.

“Hey there my love” She called grinning so widely that I felt disgusted, her presence irked me so badly.

I looked back at my desk ignoring her.

“what are you doing, you need some of my help?” she asked, swirling her hair and waist as she walked towards my desk.

I couldn’t take it anymore when she touched my shoulders, the office was becoming stuffy and I needed some air.

I stood up, taking my coat lying on my seat and walked towards the exit of my office.

“mom sent me here!”

I stopped on my tracks, s**t not this nonsense again…

“she said you’d take me out on a date today”

“am busy” I replied uninterested, the last date we went on was the most annoying and boring date I’ve ever had, and am never doing that again.

“Vicenzo…..” she pouted and begged now gripping onto my dress shirt, as if that would work on me.

I slowly loosened her grip on my shirt…

“if you leave, am going to report you to mom”

I breathed out in frustration, I wonder who gave her the permission to address my mom as “mom”

“go to hell Gina”

I replied fiercely, she’s the most annoying person on this earth.

She trailed her finger from my chest down to my torso seductively.

“Vicenzo, stop being too hard on me, I know you like it” she said grinning and biting her lips

I hissed loudly, such a desperate b***h.

But before I could realize, she pulled at my neck tie, bring my head down to hers as her lips clamped mine.

“what the f**k!”

I yelled internally.

I was about to break up from her when I head the door swing open, raising my head I saw Anna standing there so beautifully looking at me , with tears in her eyes.

I hated to see her cry………..

“Are you ok? I think we need to call the family doctor to come check on your face. I really can’t believe how you put up with that halfwit for this long”

Gina complained trying to reach out to touch my face bringing me back from my trail of thoughts.

“am fine” I replied turning my face away from her, she really disgust me.

Gina and I were childhood friends, not anymore though because she started to become a real pain in the ass, always clinging unto me like some leach.

“what was that all about Gina?” I said giving her a warning glare.

“what was what?”

“I’ve told you to stop coming here, what the hell is your problem?”

“I just missed you, come on it’s been long we talked, I know you miss me too and mom suggested we go on another date”

That’s exactly my problem with Gina, she always seem to have a wrong perception of the way I feel about her, I really wonder if it was intentional.

“you had no rights to put your disgusting lips on mine and talk to my woman disrespectfully, what exactly is wrong with you?”

“disgusting? My lips is disgusting? Really Vincenzo!”

“And I’ve f*****g told you to stop calling me that or I’ll throw you out of my office” I yelled.

She’s really getting on my nerves right now, I just wanted her out of my sight.

Oh great! She began to cry, what kind of man makes two women cry in just one day.

“Gina please leave”

Am so stressed out , I don’t have the energy to deal with her.

I slumped on my Chair as I heard the door of my office close with a loud thud and the trail of Gina’s heels going down the hall.

I heaved out a frustrating sigh and starred at my face on the glass walls, the damage of the coffee wasn’t so bad. I ran my hand through my hair thinking of what to do about Anna, I’ve really hurt her.

My phone buzzed,

"Hey Johnny, how is it going"

"the goods has been transported successfully"

"Tell Fred and Cleo to make sure the payment is completed"

"Yes boss.....Hey you good?"

"yeah am good, just stressed out"

"women problems?" He asked with a chuckle

"huff............" I breathed

"wanna hang out at our usual for a drink tonight?" Johnny asked

"Yeah sure" that would really help.

Just immediately the door to my office opened and my Mom marched in with Gina by her side.

"Mom......."

"what did you do to Gina, how can you hurt such a sweet girl?"

"mom please I need a break, I went out with her last time doesn't mean I would want to do that again" I protested.

"You'll do as I say Silvio, I want the best for you and trust me Gina is the best for you, forget all these ladies that hover over you, they just want your money and nothing more"

I stood up taking my car keys and began to walk out of the office, because if I let her, she could nag at me for eternity.

"c'mon Gina, let's get this over with" I replied leaving the office

"I just got here baby, you can't just leave, I came to check up on you" My mom yelled behind me

"am busy mom" I replied her walking towards the elevator as Gina ran behind, trying to catch up with me.

I entered the elevator and Gina managed to catch up with me just before it closed. I ignored her and scrolled through my phone to call my driver.

"am going out" I told him over the phone

"ok boss"

"you're really going out with me?" Gina asked surprised, I ignored her as she giggled and smiled stupidly

I got out of the company to see my Revuelto Lamborghini parked in front of the exit, I collected the key from my driver, Antonio who bowed and opened the car door for me. Gina got in on the other end and I drove out of my company.

I drove for a few minutes and all this while Gina has been yapping, I got so frustrating due to the fact that she wouldn't keep her mouth shut, I stopped the car and opened her side door motioning her to step down.

She looked at me in shock and tried to plead with me, I pushed her out, closed the door and drove off, heading for home. I need to see Anna............
