Chapter 8

Martha's Pov

Today has been hectic with all of preparations going on. The whole pack is working on this party. Ever since i talked to john i have felt better about this whole meeting the pack thing. All i know is that no matter what happens i will always have john by my side. He's so sweet and understanding. He always listens to what i have to say and makes sure that all of my opinions matter.

Five hours later

It's been five hours since we have finished with the decorating and everyone has gone to get ready. John says that it would be great if i wore this amazing turquoise dress that falls all the way the the ground. It's a strapless dress with diamond looking stones in the middle of the bodice. Also, the dress itself is very movable and spacious (not sure if that's the right way to describe it but anyway lol). I decided to curl my hair and pin the sides of the top.

As i was finishing up my makeup i heard a knock on my door and in came a devilishly looking john. He was wearing a black suit and let me tell you he looked very sexy in a suit. His hair was in a sexy bed head style. While he was standing there i didn't even notice that i was staring with my mouth wide open. '' Take a picture it will last longer". He said with a smirk on his face. After he said that i blushed like crazy and he started to laugh his ass off. " Martha you ready to go down to the party?" he asked me while walking up to me. " Yes, are you ready?" i asked with a smile on my face. " I ready as long as i have you" he said with sincerity in his voice.

As we were walking down the stairs to the ballroom, i started to get even more nervous. We were about to enter thru the two big main doors and my nerves where at its peak. John noticed my nerves and he took my hand in his, automatically calming down my nerves. Then i realized, even if they don't like me i will still have john by my side. With that thought we walked into the ballroom and everyone and i mean EVERYONE turned to look at us. Once they saw us they all started clapping for me and that made all my worries diminish.

After the party

The party was amazing and i got to talk with a lot of the pack members and they seemed genuinely happy that their alpha has found a mate and that its me. While we were there we got a lot of congratulations and presents from the pack members. I made a couple new friends who seem to be nice people and their names are Jaclyn, Mary, Stella, and Reagan. I found out they all were not born into this pack only moved into it recently because they found their mates. Also all of their mates are pack warriors and really good friends of John.

I actually had more fun than I've had in a very long time. John was by my side the entire time and even when his friends wanted to talk to him he would blow them off just to make sure that i was safe and comfortable. i love him for that. always making sure I'm OK instead of going and talking to his friends.
