There were not many patients in the morning. By the time I treated my third patient of the day, it was already noon. My colleague, Sharon, asked me to join her for lunch, but I declined. The sleepless night I suffered yesterday and the work I had this morning, along with the troublesome mess I had with Steven and Isabella, stripped any bit of appetite from me.
Upon returning to the office from the operating room, I hesitated for a moment before taking a deep breath and dialed Steven's number. “Fine. I will get you a batch of human placenta within a week, but you must give me the video in return. I won’t help you out otherwise.”
