The immediate dilemma was resolved when Diane's legs began to ache from standing, yet she still hadn't seen any familiar faces passing by. She realized it was partly her fault for being too aloof, not having many friends at school. Thinking of waiting a bit longer, she decided that if no one showed up, she would have to go back to the supermarket. Henry waited for a while and suddenly felt something was off. Diane didn't seem to be waiting for someone, standing in a peculiar way. Upon closer inspection, he noticed she had one foot in a high heel and the other foot stepping on the heel of the shoe, probably because the heel had broken off.
