CHAPTER FIVE. SUFFERING OF ZINA

Immediately they arrived in Port Harcourt Her Auty did not give her the chance to change her cloths when she started sending her on errands.

It wasn't quite long night time came. She asked her Auty were she was to sleep and she directed her to sleep on a mat on the floor. Infact Zina thought that she heard wrong but nothing was missing in the statement made very close to her that even a deaf person could hear it. She quietly put down her mat and laid on it sobbing till she slept off.

Late in the night she had a dream about her father.

Mr Kuru; Lady P I miss you so much

lady P was her father's favourite name for her.

Zina; Daddy where have you been?

I miss you so much.

Mr Kuru. Lady P I have been around watching over you.

Now you are in a strange house you just have to be strong and do what you are asked to do so nobody will beat and hit you.

Zina. Father I don't want to stay here. I want to follow you. I can't stay here without you.

Mr Kuru. Lady P I know you have not stayed away from home before but you have to bear with the situations of things.

Now I'm in a strange world. You can not come with me. you have a destiny to fulfil.

Not long after then he waved her goodbye.

Da...da...da...da....ddddddy Daddddyyyyyy

Dadddddyyyyyy...........

She kept screaming till she woke up sweating. she looked around in the dark room and realised it was not reality but a dream. she wept her eyes out. sobbing silently in the dark room. Daddy come back I can't survive without you.

It was very early in the morning by 4:30am. Her Auty came to wake her up and realised she was sobbing.

she called her Zina truthfully your father is death and he's no longer returning back from the grave. You saw him being buried so no magic can bring him back to life. Just brace up, put yourself together and get that touch light. get this keg at the kitchen and come and fetch water.

She did as her Aunty instructed. Carried the keg and started fetching water from the place she was directed even as the weather was still dark.

Life became so unbearable with her Aunty. skipping school some days, hacking after school, going late to school, having little to eat and sleeping on bear floor til she developed pain that she could not walk around freely.

On visiting a pharmacy she was diagnosed of cold as a result of sleeping on the floor for 10 months. symptoms of a cold include various combinations of:

a stuffy or runny nose

sneezing

sore throat

cough

headache

red eyes

swelling of lymph glands

fever (occasionally)

loss of appetite and, sometimes, nausea and vomiting.

The actual symptoms will vary from person to person and from illness to illness. Usually, the symptoms will last from a few days present.

Drink plenty of fluids.

loss or change in sense of smell or taste

fever

chills or sweats

cough

sore throat

shortness of breath

runny nose.she also experience headache, muscle soreness, stuffy nose, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea.
