Chapter 20I sat in my room and looked out the window across the park. I was torn as to whether I should trust Perez. If I told him everything, he'd have to let Lopez out of jail. After all, there was no murder. And if I didn't tell him anything, and he found out I had framed Lopez, I would almost certainly end up in jail. Which I definitely did not want to happen. Was there a chance that if I spilled my guts to him, he would let this plan play out long enough for me to have Lopez sign over the property? I wasn't ready to take that chance.
My phone rang. It was Ronald. He said he had met with Roman and that Roman would be meeting with Lopez this evening to present our proposal.
