Back down in the cells, I locked eyes with the Beta of the Crescent Pack. “Bring him here.” I said to Levi and headed to one of the interrogation rooms. Once inside, I leaned up against the wall, crossing my arms to my chest. Max leans on the wall across from me.
“How did it go in there?” He asks.
“Great, until she found out I was the Alpha. Now she’s terrified.”
Just then, Levi walked in and sat the Beta in a chair.
“Funny, your Alpha hasn’t reached out yet to get you back. Think he has replaced you already? Or is he running away?”
Laughing, the Beta turns to me. “That’s the problem with your pack. Too sentimental. I’m sure a suitable Beta has replaced me. Now, how long till you kill me? Or do I get to experience some pain first?” He asks, smiling.
