ALAENA’S POV
Roy and I were moving through the bushes, hoping we would see Old Man Titus.
As we turned to make for a clearing, the sounds of the soldiers on their horses were still audible from this distance; all of a sudden we stumbled into Titus.
He’s just standing there in the clearing, the three horses by his side.
He did not look bothered or under the notion that we had almost been found out.
It seemed like he was always Two steps ahead.
“Well, are you two just going to stand there?”
He asked getting onto his horse.
“Come on, it gets tricky from here”
Roy and I get on ours and we ride off, the moon still high and lighting the way.
The hooves of the horses struck against the damp earth as we rode through the dense trees, the night air crisp against my skin.
