ALAENA’S POV I stood there, breathless, my body still tingling from the energy that was coursing through me. The vast plains of the spirit realm stretched endlessly before me, it was blanketed in moonlight. But it wasn’t the landscape that held my attention. It was them. Hundreds—no, thousands—of wolves covered the plains as far as my eyes could see. Their eyes, glowing like embers, locked onto me with an intensity that made my heart race and my pulse quicken.
