Chapter 8 Love is difficult

Zander got up that night to go to the bathroom. He went to check on Lila. He kissed her forehead and she started to wake up. “Alex?” She asked sleepily. “No it’s Zander.” “I love you Zander.” She said reaching up to kiss his cheek. It was dark though so she missed and kissed his lips. This startled her because she ment to get his cheek. “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to.” She started to say but he took her lips in his and kissed her passionately. Alex suddenly walked up behind them. Scaring them both. Lila sat up shaking. “Don’t hurt her please. It was me. It was dark and I went to check on her and she thought it was you. So she kissed me because she couldn’t see who it was.” He said in a panic.

Lila was in tears again. “I haven’t decided what I want to do yet. I love my princess more then anything but I don’t want you guys being intimate. Especially behind my back.” “I won’t baby I promise. I can’t lose you.” She said desperately. “I’m going back to bed. I love you but I need more time.” He peed and went back to his bedroom. Zander was holding hands with her as she was still crying. “I know I already broke what I said about not kissing you but I guess I have to stick with it this time.” “I love and I’m sorry for everything.” Said Lila.

“Don’t be sorry. You are the best thing to come into my life. Sometimes I just wish I met you instead of Alex.” “I love you both though so that’s what makes this hard. I wasn’t expecting to fall in love with both of you. It just happened.” He pulled her close and kissed her forehead. “Whatever Alex decides we will do. I can’t lose him.” “Ok honey we will see what he says in the morning. Why don’t you get some rest.” Said Zander. “I’m tired but I can’t sleep. I’m so scared he will leave me because of this.” She started to cry again. “He loves you more than he’s ever loved anyone. He won’t give up on you, trust me.” She laid her head in his lap and covered up. He ran his fingers through her hair, trying to soothe her.

She fell asleep after a while and so did he. The rest of the band got up and came downstairs to check on them. Benjie pointed out that they were sleeping on the couch together. “It's ok I knew about it.” Said Alex. He went over and sat next to Lila. He started rubbing her legs to wake her up. She got up scared and started apologizing. “We fell asleep, we didn’t do anything, please don’t be mad.” Her heart was pounding so fast. Zander woke up and held her hand. “It’s ok, I’ve got you.” “Baby please stop being scared of me. I love you. I’m not your ex. I would never hurt you.”

“I’ve thought a long time about all this. I know you love each other and I can’t break my best friend’s heart after everything he went through. But I also can’t see my wife and my best friend sleeping together and making out. So this is what will happen. You both can still hold hands and kiss each other on the cheek. No making out though and try not to fall asleep together.” “Thank you Alex!” She said jumping on him and kissing him. “I love you baby so much.” “I love you too.” She replied. Then she jumped to Zander and kissed his cheeks. She held him tight. He kissed her cheeks. “Thank you my brother for not kicking me out of your life. I love you both too much to lose you. I’m sorry again for kissing her the way I did.” “I forgive you my brother.”

“I’m going to make breakfast. You two may cuddle while I’m gone but once I’m back she’s mine.” “Thank you baby.” She said kissing him again.

Her and Zander got comfy on the couch and held hands. She laid her head on his shoulder and he kissed the top of her head.

“It’s that going to be a little weird?” Whispered Jordan. “Not really. She’s only sleeping with me. They both have been through so much. As long as they’re happy, I’m happy. He whispered back.

He started making breakfast. Pancakes, bacon, and sausage. Then he poured everyone some orange juice. “Breakfast is ready,” he yelled. They all sat at the kitchen table. He grabbed Lila’s face and kissed her deep. She kissed him back passionately. Zander was sitting next to her and squeezed her leg. He squeezed him back reassuring him.

“Ok you two let us eat in peace.” Said Jordan. They stopped kissing and ate their food. “This is so good. Thank you baby.” “Anything for you princess.” They finished eating. “It’s supposed to be nice out today. Can we sit outside?” Asked Lila. “That sounds good.” Said Benjie.

They went outside together. Lila sat between Zander and Alex. Alex held her hand but Zander gave them some space. Jordan brought them out some sodas. Lila smiled and thanked him. They enjoyed just relaxing in the sun. Lila was in a pretty sunflower dress. The rest of the boys were shirtless with shorts on. A few women in bikinis walked by catching their attention. Alex and Zander didn’t pay them any mind but the other two winked at them. Alex squeezed her hand and smiled at her.

A little time went by and Alex had to pee. “I’ll be back my love.” He said kissing her. Jordan and Benjie went out to the main beach to go find some girls. As soon as Alex was inside, Zander held her hand and pulled her face in for a kiss. He behaved tho and kissed her on the cheek. She kissed him back.

Alex ended up having to poop instead. He texted Lila. I got to poop. No kissing you two. She typed back. I’ll behave, don’t worry. He answered You better or I’ll s***k you. She responded ?

“He’s got to poop.” “That’s great I can spend more time alone with you.” “Yes but we need to behave.” “Let’s take a walk on the beach.” They walked hand in hand. The hot sand getting in their sandals. She saw some seashells lying by the shore. “Oh these are pretty.” She said bending down to pick them up. He bent down next to her and started picking some up too. Jordan and Benjie noticed them. “I know he doesn’t want to lose her but eventually I feel like him and Zander are going to get really jealous of each other.” Said Benjie. “I don’t know. I just hope no one gets hurt.” Said Jordan. They looked into each other’s eyes. They wanted to kiss each other so bad but they were loyal to Alex. He kissed her cheek a few times. She blushed and gave him a hug. She lost her balance though and fell butt first into the sand.

They both laughed and he helped her up. He started brushing the sand off of her dress but by this time Alex was coming up behind them. “She fell in the sand and nothing happened.” He said nervously. He playfully s*****d her butt and giggled. “I told you not to bed a bad girl.” “I wasn’t, I wasn’t.” She said, “Alex pulled her close and kissed her while squeezing her butt. She s*****d him back. “You are a bad girl!” She took off for the water and ran in till the water was at her waist. All the boys followed her in. “Water feels so nice.” “Yes it is my baby.” He said moving closer to her. Zander splashed them. “Ha ha you can’t catch me.” He said teasing them. Lila splashed him and then he jumped on both on them in the water.

“You are in trouble now.” Said Alex. He tackled him and Lila tackled Alex. Alex got up and kissed her while she was floating in the water. Zander decided to be naughty while they were kissing and splashed them. Alex stopped kissing her and splashed him back. He could sense that her and Zander really wanted to play with each other in the water but he was trusting them to behave. They locked eyes with each other. She started getting emotional. She couldn’t shake this feeling she had for him. He looked at Alex as if to ask for permission to comfort her.

He nodded with approval. He went over and hugged her in the water. “Don’t cry beautiful, I’m here.” “But I want to kiss you and I can’t. What is wrong with me? Falling in love with two people. I’m a tramp.” Alex went over to comfort her. Zander stepped back. “You can stay.” Said Alex. “There’s nothing wrong with you. You just have a big heart. That’s something I love about you.” “Let’s just get some so you can dry off and calm down. Who do you want to walk you home?” Asked Alex. “Both of you.”
