What the heck is in Nebraska? Wait - Does that sound uber-Californian-snobby-elitist- of me? Probably. Need to watch that, Plain Jane. Remember, this is going to be a national (maybe international) best seller. Can"t make people in the bread basket angry. Bread Basket? Do they still call it that? I shall do some Google research.
Then again, no one may want to read my super exciting, character-driven almost-novel about inter-connectivity and mirror-image self-obsessing. Maybe I should broaden it – include the millennial road trip angle? If I keep getting deafening silence back from all the literary agents, I"ll have to spice it up somehow.
