Then again, she reasoned he was a New Yorker. He"d probably seen it all. Jane ignored the three calls, and twelve texts from Christian. On the way, she"d checked on her phone to see the rates for a one-way flight back to California. She had enough room on her credit cards to swing the fair, with enough left over to get her all the way home. Then she thought about the book. This is all I have now. She booked a one-way flight to Biloxi. From there, the rates were pretty cheap to get another one to Cali. She would still be one Jane short. Of all the stops to go so badly, it had to be New York, didn"t it? She
