As Jane looked around Biloxi, Mississippi, she was surprised by the number of concrete slabs. Many were surrounded by lush green lawns that seemed to lead nowhere. It was almost like they were the beginnings of monuments. But they laid silent. Waiting for what, Jane couldn"t imagine. There were also a surprising number of new buildings for such an historic city.
Jane expected… well, she really didn"t know what to expect. She began to realize she should have done a lot more research before she started this whole journey. It would have prevented all the mess that she was now living through. She might even still have Christian, if she"d paid more attention.
