  EVELYN'S POV   Beads of sweat rolled off my temples, my eyes pinned to the ceiling, my heart thudding hard in my chest; I couldn't sleep. I could hear it: the ticking of the clock, its strikes every sixty seconds; the air conditioner, a little tap was turned off completely.   I stirred in my bed, rolling from one side to another. I was restless, scared to fall asleep, dreading reliving memories of my previous occurrences, and I wasn't certain it was a risk I wanted to take.
