EVELYN'S POV
An alarm went off in my ears listening to words that they spoke; Her lips parted, and she said some other words, but it didn't seem like I heard anything she had spoken of; it made my heart race so fast that I could hear my heart beating through my ears.
"This....what.... I'm sorry, what did you just say again?" I asked, trying to brace myself as I spoke.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have put it all out to you. And the alpha had wanted the truth hidden, but he tried, and I didn't like the fact that you weren't informed. Seeing how keen you are to help the alpha also means you are putting your life on the line; I'm sure the alpha wouldn't want something like that for you." She explained.
