CHARTER 3: I'LL BE YOUR GUEST!

After Kaoru saw Albus walking into the King’s room, she knew that there was something wrong.. Whenever there’s something wrong the King and Albus would always hide it away from her.. They don’t want to make the princess worried for nothing.. So Kaoru would always sneak in and listen to their conversation while hiding in a corner..

She decided to do the same again.. After Albus went inside the King’s chamber she quietly sat behind a table outside the door hiding herself..

She couldn’t hear properly so she went a bit more closer..

She suddenly flinched when she heard the sound of a slap.. She tried to listen carefully but she could only hear a few parts of the conversation..

“... QUIT LYING! YOU THINK IM UNAWARE OF THE MESS YOU MADE? ... She isn’t an ordinary demon ... The Brutal Crystal Blade ...YOU DIDN’T JUST STAB AN ORDINARY DEMON. SHE WAS THE DEVIL QUEEN!! ...”

Kaoru heard King yelling at her brother.. Her eyes widen in realization..

“He stabbed her!?” she thought.. “Was it because of me?”

She begin to feel guilty “Albus must have went because he thinks that it was Demon Queen who attacked me.. Maybe it was because he didn’t believed when I told him the truth about how she saved me.. Should I ask him- wait did he just said brutal crystal blade.. Isn’t it the one that is used to killed demons? The blade with special powers? DID HE STAB THE DEMON QUEEN WITH THAT BLADE?!” her thoughts got interrupted when the door opened..

She quickly adjusted her positions so they won’t be able to see her.. She heard the footsteps coming out from the room and walking away.. She couldn’t wait anymore.. She looked around to make sure no one was watching her.. She got up and ran way to her own room..

On the other hand, The Devil Queen was resting in her room.. After that day when Albus stabbed her with The brutal crystal sword, she have been feeling slightly weak..

No one actually knew much about her.. There were some rumours that the Devil Queen is immune to the Brutal crystal blade but that was not the truth.. No demon is immune to the Brutal Crystal Blade and the Devil Queen isn’t an exception..

Yes the Blade don’t work on her the way it works on other demons but that doesn’t mean that she couldn’t be killed from that blade..

If the blade get pierced through her heart, she will die and it will only work that way.. Luckily she got stabbed by the blade in the abdomen which caused her slight weakness..

When Albus stabbed her, she endured the pain quietly and kept the mask of a “Strong Devil Queen” on.. And she must keep that mask on no matter what.. That’s what she have been doing ever since she became the Queen..

She got up and went to take a piece of paper out of her robe that was hanging a few steps away from the bed..

She took that paper and went back to lay down on the bed.. It was the letter from Princess Kaoru.. She wanted to write a response to the letter but she couldn’t.. She was tied by her responsibilities as a Queen..

She begin to read it again.. She almost lost the count of how many times she have read that letter..

“Princess Kaoru from the angel realm huh?” she thought.. “You remind me of my old self.. How I used to be once.. A free spirit, young, naïve, always girl.. I just hope that your story won’t end up like mine did.. I wish you a happy life” she thought..

She got up, put that letter under her pilow, turned into her human form and teleported herself to the human world in the search of food..

Kaoru kept wondering why is she, the Devil Queen not responding to her letter.. She was wondering if she got offended by what his brother, Crown Prince Albus did.. To her what Albus did was indeed disrespectful but she even wrote an apology letter but the Queen never replied.. She decided to write another letter.. This was the 5th letter that she was about send..

When she was done writing the letter asked her little friend Dabria to throw it in the forest of Devils..

Dabria used to live in a village near the forest.. Dabria came from a poor family yet she was a smart and clever girl.. She was a young 90 years old angel.. She was unable to read and write as she was still too young for that.. Kaoru met Dabria when she visited the village to distribute food and clothes..

Dabria always wondered what was written in those letters and why Princess Kaoru would always ask her to throw it into the forest.. But whenever she try to ask Kaoru, the Princess will just say that soon she will understand soon..

Dabria did as she was told.. While going back to her home, she purposefully choose the path that’s near the forest.. She quietly threw it inside the forest but this time a guard saw her..

Recently, the guards have been finding many letters to their Demon Queen from the angel realm.. They were curious about the person who is sending these.. So they decided to secretly watch over the path that joins the forest and the angel realm.. And today they finally caught her throwing the letter..

Dabria was caught by two demon guards along with the letter and was brought to the palace..

A maid knocked on the Queen’s room to inform her that they finally caught the person who kept sending the Queen blank letters..

Yes, whenever they ask the Queen what was written in those letters she just said that they were totally blank..

Queen’s eyes widen.. “They caught Kaoru!?” she thought..

She hurriedly walked out and rushed to where the guards were but she was relieved to see that the person they caught wasn’t Kaoru but some other young angel with a blindfold covering her eyes preventing her from seeing what’s going on around her..

Before the guards could say anything the Queen said “Send her to the private room.. I want to talk to her alone”

The Queen turned around and begin to walk back to the room.. She went inside and sat down on a chair.. Soon that girl with the blindfold one walked inside and was forced by the guards to kneel down in front of the Queen..

Queen motioned the guards to leave so they did after handing their Queen the letter she threw in the forest and when the doors were closed the Devil Queen begin to ask her..

“What’s your name?” The Queen asked..

“Da-dabria” the young girl who was terrified, stuttered while answering..

“What’s your age?” Queen asked.. It was clear that she wasn’t older than 100 years but the Queen still decided to ask just to make sure..

“90” she replied..

“Which means she’s unaware of what’s written.. That’s a good thing..” she thought..

“Get up” the Queen ordered her.. The young girl quickly stood up..

The Queen got up and walked to her.. “Tell her.. Stop sending me letters.. We belong to different worlds.. I might’ve saved you last time but I can’t guarantee you that there won’t be a next time..” She whispered to her as the young girl nodded..

The Queen walked out but stopped “Send her back to where she belongs” she looked at the guards and they bowed their heads down in respect and fear.. “Safely” she added..

She turned into her human form and teleported to the human world..

She was walking on the streets with a hood over her head.. She put her hands into her pocket and she realized that there was a piece of paper.. She took it out and it was the letter guards found in the forest today before capturing Dabria..

She sighed and begin to read it..

"Hi there,

I hope you’re doing well.. You haven’t been replying to my letter.. No matter how many letters I send to you, You never reply to me.."

The devil Queen sat down on a bench.. She had a small yet soft smile on her face.. It was rare to see that kind of smile on the face of the Queen of all demons.. She could imagine seeing Princess Kaoru with a pout while saying the last part.. She slightly shook her head as she continued reading..

"..I know what my brother did.. And I know it was extremely wrong.. But I already apologized didn’t I? So why are you still ignoring me? But you know what.. This is my last letter to you.."

Queen’s smiled begin to fade away slowly.. She was kind of disappointed.. She knew that she should feel relieved now but instead she felt kind of sad..

“But why? Is she going to give up this soon? But.. It’s a good thing that she’s finally giving up.. I know that it is for the best then why am I.. sad?..” she thought..

She shook her head and continue to read again.. But soon her eyes widen when she read the last line..

"..Because next time it won’t be just a letter.. I’ll come to visit your majesty.. By myself!!

So allow me to be your guest hehe..

Princess Kaoru from the Angelic realm"

Queen started to panic.. She has been wondering around in the human world for hours now..

“Why am I so careless!!” she mentally scolded herself.. She quickly put the letter back into her pocket and begin to search for a place where there aren’t many people but suddenly it was so crowded everywhere..

“Why are there so many humans in this world ugh!” she thought..

She quickly rushed into the nearest public bathroom making sure there wasn’t anyone inside, she locked herself inside an empty stall.. She quickly teleported herself back to the Demonic Realm.. She turned into her demon form and begin to fly above the forest of Devils, trying to find Kaoru..

Soon she saw a small figure sitting in the forest hugging her knees and resting her chin on them, looking around waiting for someone.. The Devil Queen immediately recognized that girl..

“Kaoru..” she mumbled.. She quickly landed near her and placed her hand on her shoulder making look up.. Kaoru’s eyes lit up as she saw the Queen of demons.. Kaoru stood up but before she could say anything the Queen said “Turn into a human.. Quick..”

Kaoru did what she said.. The Queen grabbed her hand and teleported to the human world, same public bathroom’s stall she was in a while ago..

She looked at Kaoru and asked “Did anyone saw you” but the Kaoru shook her head..

The Queen sighed out in relief.. She shook her head and walked out of the bathroom.. Kaoru followed her as she have been to the human world once or twice.. But it was either with her father or her brother..

There were some girls in that public bathroom as well.. As both of them walked out of the same bathroom stall, the girls begin to look at the with weird smiles and started to whisper to each other and started giggling..

The Queen looked at them with a emotionless look meanwhile Kaoru was confused wondering why those girls are giggling like that out of nowhere..

“What” The Queen said with a harsh voice.. All the girls begin to give her mean looks and continued doing what they were doing before they saw Queen and Kaoru..

The Devil Queen walked out with Kaoru following her like a puppy.. Queen noticed how she was getting followed by Kaoru.. She suddenly stopped which cause the angel to bump into Queen’s back.. “Can you stop following me?” she was getting annoyed..

“But I’ve rarely been here.. What if I get lost.. Who will take me back home” Kaoru said while looking up at her in the eyes..

“First of all you can’t look at me like that in the eyes and second who even asked you to come here” Queen was getting more and more annoyed..

“First of all why can’t I you’re in your human form so am I.. All humans are equal.. So which means you’re not a Queen right now and I’m not a princess.. We’re equal.. And second” she pointed at the Queen “Were you not the one who took me here?” she ended her sentence with a grin, slightly tilting her head..

The queen was speechless “I..”

“What she said does makes sense though but.. Did she just dared to talk back to me and while.. pointing a finger at me” she thought while looking at her face and then at her finger..

Suddenly Kaoru begin to laugh “I got ya!!”

After she calmed herself down a bit she said “And I was joking.. Of course you’ll always be the Devil Queen doesn’t matter where you go but” she started to laugh again “Did you see your face!? You were speechless! Did I just made The fearless Devil Queen speechless!?”

The Queen begin to grind her teeth and said “Don’t think that I won’t be able hurt you and you’re safe just because there are many humans around us”

“Yep I know but I know that you won’t hurt me.. If you wanted to hurt me, you could’ve done it long ago.. You got plenty of chances to kill me didn’t you?” Kaoru said with a smile..

Queen just ignored her continued walking and Kaoru begin to follow her again..

“What’s your name?” Kaoru asked but the Queen ignored her again..

Kaoru stopped and smirked “Hey you Miss Devil Queen” she shouted which made the humans around them, look at them with weird looks..

Queen’s eyes widen and she quickly rushed back to Kaoru “Why did you do that!?” she whispered angrily..

Kaoru pouted and replied “Because you never told me your name I don’t know what to call you.. You know what I tried to ask many people but none of them knew your name”

The Queen groaned in frustration.. “Akari” with that she turned around and continued walking..

Kaoru begin to grin widely “That name sounds so cool! Who gave you this name!?” she said while looking like a bunny who keep hoping up and down when he gets excited about something..

She stopped walking as the memories of the past crossed her mind “It’s none of your business”

Kaoru walked closer and grabbed Akari’s sleeve and begin to whine like a kid “Why are you like this.. First you never replied to my letters now you’re ignoring me.. That is not fair you are the one who took me here and now you’re not even talking to me properly. Is that how you demons treat your guests I’m a guest who came from far far away and you’re not even looking at me. Tell me what have I ever done to you as for what my brother did, I already apologized about that so why are you still angweyyyyyy”

Akira was shocked she didn’t knew how to react.. She was just standing there while the people around them were staring at them..

“FINE FINE I’LL DO WHATEVER YOU SAY JUST SHUT UP” Akira said and Kaoru’s eye lit up..

She happily let go of her sleeve and continued walking by her side..
