Damien POV
It later tuned out that we had to call a doctor that specialized in humans. She hadn’t woken up overnight and if possible, she looked more sickly than before.
“I placed and IV as well a feeding tube,” the doctor started, closing her bedroom door behind him, “Can we possibly talk somewhere more private, preferably with all of you, there are several things to discuss.” I nod and mind link the others while heading to our private living room.
Doc just finished, he needs to talk to us, meet in our living room. With that I close my link knowing that they would be there when the doctor and I arrived.
As expected, Alec, Nic, and Dom were all there waiting for us. I head over and sit next to my twin, unconsciously seeking comfort from him. Once we were all settled, the doctor started speaking.
“As I informed Mr. Damien, I placed both an IV as well as a feeding tube. I am quite concerned due to how malnourished she is, this could be part of the reason she has not awoken. Another reason is I doubt she could ever relax or truly sleep, and now that she is safe her body recognizes that and is trying to catch up on rest. You did very well with cleaning, stitching, and bandaging her. However, I had to reset her right shoulder as it was dislocated as well as place a temporary cast on her left ankle. It is sprained and possibly fractured, but she should be able to walk with your help once she has regained her strength. I will be back in several days to check on her, should she awake please inform me.”
With that said I heard Alec dismiss him, thanking him for taking care of our mate. We all sit there in silence for what seems like forever. Eventually Alec stands gaining our attention.
“I think we need to do something other than sit here,” He starts, “I have work I need to finish in my office. Nic, I have noticed the warriors we recently recruited could use some work if you could handle that. Dom, Day, I would appreciate one of you to complete the editing on the treaties I emailed you earlier today.” He turns and leaves after that little speech.
Nic follows soon after leaving me and Dom. I look at him, silently arguing who will have to deal with the treaties. Groaning I stand up.
“Compromise,” I sigh, “How bout you go check on her while I start on the treaties? Spend a little time making sure she’s ok and then join me in the office and help with the treaties.”
“Thank you,” He replies leaving the room quickly. I know he is the most attached out of all of us. He found her, brought her home, held her the most, and had her torn from his arms by Nic only to watch her be left in a cell. I know he thinks he should have stood up to Nic, but that would have been an uphill battle he was sure to lose.
