I quickly nodded and smiled at Ben. “It’s nice to see you visiting.”
“Yeah, I just wanted to check on the madame.” He nodded.
“Excuse me.” Lana suddenly excused herself and went inside the private room. She didn’t look back at us and just closed the door.
“How are you? Nothing painful?” Ben reached for my arm and inspected my body as soon as the doors to the Elder’s room closed.
“Just a scratch,” I said, knowing I had a wound on my elbow from last night.
“Hmm,” he continued looking at my body as if he could see any pain I was hiding.
“Nothing from the scratches and bites you had?” I shook my head and smiled.
“None. It seems like their venom didn’t affect me at all, just like what you guys said.”
