Scott stood by the window looking out at the city in the daylight. So much had happened since he'd been bitten. He'd accused Derek of biting him and killing innocent people and now they were as close as brothers. Peter had bitten him and had tried to kill him on numerous occasions and now Scott was mated to Peter's daughter and Peter had become a pack warrior and enforcer. Peter never hesitated to do the hard stuff, the stuff that the rest of the world would frown on and judge for. Jackson had hated him in high school. Had killed his friends as a Kanima. Then there was Ethan. Once one of the Alpha pack, with his twin Aiden, now a part of his pack. Malia joined Scott at the window and began to rub his back. " What are you thinking about? Are you okay?" she asked. Scott shook his head and smiled at her. " I was just thinking about everything that I've, that we've been through. There are so many in our pack now that used to be considered our enemy. They have become our family" he said looking back out the window. Malia nodded her head. " I know. I never would have thought that Peter would one day be a part of our pack" she said with a soft chuckle. Scott looked back at Ara laying on the bed, curled around Wyatt’s sleeping form protectively, like a mother. He had learned that you can't always judge someone based and what they were supposed to be. She was a vampire. Strong, fast, vicious, hard to kill and she had protected and nurtured someone who was supposed to be her enemy. She had actively searched for Scott’s pack in order to protect the child. " She fully expects to die, you know," Malia said as she followed his gaze. " She came here with the knowledge that we are her natural enemies but she came anyway. For him, Wyatt. She loves him" Malia said and walked away. Scott sighed and stared back out the window. He didn't consider Ara his enemy. She had risked her life to protect Wyatt.
Peter sat in the darkness and watched Ara, the vampire, curled protectively around the little boy beside her. His eyes travelled over the curve of her cheek, down her slender neck to her shoulder. His eyes travelled lower, over her tiny waist to her feminine hips and down her legs. Peter had been with his fair share of women as a teen and a man but there was something about Ara that drew him in. He wanted to be around her, to protect her. He wanted to know if her lips were as soft as they looked, if her body would yield to his. Peter shook his head to clear away that line of thinking. He didn't know Ara, he shouldn't be wondering how she would feel wrapped around his steel rod. " You could always get to know her, you know" Lydia said sitting down beside him. Peter snorted and looked away from the bed. " I don't know what you're talking about," he said trying to act as though he hadn't been staring. Lydia laughed and shook her head. " Whatever you say Peter," she said.
