Chapter Five The hours that followed the shooting of Jared Lowell were a blur in Chante’s mind. Emergency personnel, doctors and nurses came rushing out of the hospital in droves. A trolley was speedily brought out from the emergency door as a mob of white-coated medics followed in hot pursuit.
