Chapter Two
Chante spent the next couple of hours filing documents and transporting medical records to the appropriate hospital departments. She checked on the insurance liabilities of the patients on record and made sure everything was up-to-date. It was mostly clerical work that she used to do as a candy striper. She didn’t mind though because she wanted to be useful while she was on duty.
Occasionally, Nurse Betty would hand her a couple of lab specimens and requests for drugs from the pharmacy. Before she knew it, her eight hour shift was over and she had a crick in the back of her neck from all the paperwork she did.
