“What’s wrong with you today, Chante?” Nurse Betty looked at her with irritation.
This was the second time she got the meds mixed up for a different patient. Her mind was spinning and she needed to focus, keep her composure, before Nurse Betty threw her out into the street.
But how could she?
Jared Lowell was in the same building, more appropriately, sitting in an office on the 7th floor, running the operation for the trust fund in the absence of Director Whittle.
Chante decided now was a good time to take a break. She wanted to gather her composure before returning to the floor. She needed her head straight before she accidentally murdered a patient.
