After a few hours of travel, the captain announced that we were approaching New York. The view from the window was breathtaking as the plane descended over the bustling city.
We landed at JFK airport and we were greeted and welcomed by Kai who was awaiting our arrival on the tarmac with the company's limousine.
"Why, Ms. Chastain, you do look so beautiful this afternoon," he complimented Cheryl.
Right, Cheryl. I had almost forgotten that she was here with me, she does a pretty job of fading into the background.
"Thank you, Kai." she beamed at him. "How's your wife and kids?"
"They are doing well, thank you."
"Extend my warmest regards to them, then," she said as she ducked to get into the back seat with me.
