Sheila's eyes softened and she approached me with caution as I backed away. "Look, Chers, I am saying you should go about throwing yourself at every man who does as much as tickles your fancy. You should stop suppressing your desires, you are a beautiful woman and you deserve all the best. But your desire to make your mark has made you unavailable to other things people your age enjoy."
She clasped my shoulders and squeezed. "Test your limits, indulge in things you wouldn't think of doing before, and see how it works for you. Besides, you're only young once."
Her words sank into my body at a jarring speed but the subtle one that made me queasy with unease was the one that I was possibly in lust with my boss.
