  CHERYL POV   "I'm going to take your word for it and sign them," I said. "Let's just hope I didn't sign away my firstborn child."   Damien shook his head, a secret smile playing on his lips.   I fetched a pen from my bag and using my leg as a table, I signed on each dotted line.   I recapped my pen and extended the packet. "All good."   He took the packet from me and carefully placed it back in his briefcase.   I settled into the plush leather seats as the car glided smoothly onto a highway. The windows allowed me to soak in the spectacular views of the azure ocean, the waves rolling languidly against the shore, and the expansive Miami skyline reflecting the clear, endless sky.
