My mouth quirked at the corners at their cute banter. Siblings were the easiest to deal with.
"Hi, I'm Cheryl... humph!" I jerked to a stop when she yanked me into her arms.
For chrissakes, what's it with this family and pulling people into a hug? I get it that they are natural huggers, but damn, give a girl some warning before stuffing her face into your boobs, will ya?
She grabbed me by the shoulders and pulled me back. "I already know who you are, sweetie and welcome to the family." She reached up and caressed my hair. "You have such luxurious hair and you're pretty too!"
My cheeks pinked once again. I have never received compliments like this before and in such a short interval of time too. "Thanks."
"Where are the rest, Lorena," Mrs. Heron asked.
