We had gone through so many terrifying things in both of our lives before and after we met each other. I never would have compared those things in a line up. Losing her was the most scared I had ever been. I didn’t know I could have a fear worse than that, the fear of losing her for possibly forever. I tried everything I could to wake her up from her nightmare last night but nothing I did seemed to work.
Emmry just continued to scream and thrash. Finally when I had given up hope that she was waking up she did. Of course she didn’t say anything. All she did was cry and cling to me. What was I supposed to do? I did the only thing I could think of which was gather her in my arms and take her to her favorite place.
