I woke up in the hidden cabin with a pounding headache and the taste of copper in my mouth. My body felt heavy, drained, as if the awakened curse had hollowed me out from the inside. Leo was curled up beside me, breathing softly, safe for now. The room was dimly lit, and five powerful presences filled the space.
Ryker sat on the edge of the bed, watching me with intense golden eyes. The rogue Alphas were scattered around the room, bruised and battered from what I had done to them on the ice. Yet none of them looked at me with anger. Only hunger, loyalty, and concern.
“You’re awake,” Ryker said, voice rough. He took my hand, thumb stroking over my knuckles. “You scared the hell out of us.”
“I lost control,” I whispered, sitting up slowly. “I didn’t recognize any of you. I hurt you…”
