The neutral grounds — an abandoned industrial lot on the edge of Ravenwood City — stretched out under a blood-red sunset. We arrived as a single deadly force: Ryker leading, me riding behind him, the four rogue Alphas flanking us like shadows ready to strike. The curse hummed steadily inside me, anchored through all five males. The bonds were stronger now, tighter, more intimate.
We killed the engines. The air smelled of rust, oil, and impending violence.
The first hybrid waited in the center of the lot.
It was no longer a pup. It had grown unnaturally fast — a grotesque fusion of child and monster. Its body was covered in dark fur and pulsing red veins. Golden eyes exactly like Leo’s stared at me with cold intelligence. It held a scalpel in one clawed hand, mimicking my own movements with eerie precision.
“You,” it hissed, voice layered with stolen pieces of my own. “Mother.”
Ryker stepped in front of me instantly, gun drawn. “Stay behind me.”
The rogue Alphas moved into formation. Jax and Kai on my left, Zane and Draco on my right. Their bodies brushed mine with every movement — deliberate, protective, hungry.
The hybrid tilted its head. “The bonds are strong. But fragile. I was born from your blood and his curse. I can break them.”
It lunged.
The fight exploded.
Ryker met it head-on, their clash shaking the ground. The hybrid moved with Ryker’s brutal strength and my surgical precision, slashing with the scalpel while dodging bullets. Ryker took a deep cut across his arm but didn’t slow down.
Jax and Kai charged from the sides. Jax tackled the hybrid’s legs while Kai fired point-blank. The creature screamed and flung Jax across the lot. He crashed into a rusted container but rolled to his feet immediately.
“Rhea!” Kai shouted. “Use the power!”
I anchored the curse through all of them. Red energy flowed from me into Ryker, then spread to the rogue Alphas. Their movements became faster, stronger, synchronized. The bonds glowed faintly between us.
The hybrid laughed maniacally. “You share her now? How long until you tear each other apart?”
Zane and Draco attacked together, wolves partially shifted. The hybrid slashed Zane across the chest. Blood sprayed. Draco roared and drove it back, but the creature was adapting, learning from every strike.
Pain flared in my own body as the backlash hit. I staggered. Jax was there instantly, catching me against his chest. His hand slid down my side, steadying me. “We’ve got you. Keep going.”
Ryker used the opening. He grabbed the hybrid by the throat and slammed it into the ground. “You will not touch her son.”
I stepped forward, scalpel glowing brightly. Channeling the shared power, I drove the blade into the hybrid’s shoulder. Red energy poured into it, targeting the stolen fragments of my curse.
The creature screamed — a sound that was painfully familiar, like my own voice twisted in agony.
It convulsed, weakening.
But before I could finish the binding, it looked straight at me and whispered, “There are three of us left. We know where the boy really is. The mountain sanctuary won’t hold forever.”
Then it exploded in a final burst of unstable energy.
The blast threw everyone backward. I hit the ground hard, vision spinning. Ryker was on me in seconds, pulling me into his arms. The rogue Alphas surrounded us instantly, hands checking for injuries, bodies pressing close.
“Are you hurt?” Ryker demanded, cupping my face.
“I’m okay,” I breathed. But the curse felt heavier again. The bonds between us had tightened once more after using so much power together.
Kai helped me to my feet, his hand lingering on my waist. “That thing knew too much. The other hybrids are coming faster than we thought.”
Jax wiped blood from his lip, eyes dark. “We need to reinforce the sanctuary’s protection. And we need to find the other two before they find Leo.”
We mounted the bikes in silence. The ride back was tense. Every touch between us now carried new weight — the curse demanding balance while amplifying every desire.
Back at the cabin, Leo’s safety was confirmed through secure channels. He remained completely untraceable. But the relief was short-lived.
A new message arrived as we gathered around the table.
'First hybrid eliminated. Two remain. One carries your surgical mind. The other carries the biker king’s rage. They are already moving. Sunrise tomorrow is your deadline. Bring the full awakened power to the central arena… or lose everything you love.'
Ryker slammed his fist on the table. “We hunt them tonight.”
The rogue Alphas nodded, their eyes glowing with lethal intent.
I looked at the five males surrounding me — battered, bleeding, but unbreakable in their devotion.
The curse whispered inside me: 'They are yours. All of them.'
I took a deep breath and reached for their hands, letting the red energy flow between us once more.
“Then we end this together,” I said.
The queen had faced the first monster.
Two more waited in the shadows.
And with every passing hour, the bonds between me and my five Alphas grew stronger — and more dangerous.
Dawn was coming.
And this time, we would be ready.
