Chapter 11

Chapter 15: Arianna “I don’t care what they want. Are we good?” Kamden asked as he kissed my lips, removed the condom, and flushed it down the toilet. He wetted some paper towels, cleaned his dick off, and got himself together. Then he wetted more towels and cleaned me off, helping me off the counter. “Ignore Josie, she’s not worth the headache,” Kamden said. “I hear you,” I said, checking my makeup and hair. He entwined our hands, headed toward the door, unlocked it, and we stood in front of Josie with a harsh glare across her face. “You really stood out here listening to us?” I questioned. “Kash, you need to make a decision right now. Either her or me,” Josie demanded. Essence came over, and I felt even more embarrassed. “Her,” Kash said nonchalantly and walked off with me trailing behind, leaving her mouth gaped wide. “Kamden! Wait. She has a boyfriend. I bet she didn’t tell you,” Josie insisted. The flashes went off again as we approached our table, and I just wanted to go home, shower, and change. I was no longer in the mood to eat and celebrate with Josie following us around. “For your information, Josie, Freddie is not in my life. Even if he was, that’s none of your business or Kamden’s for that matter,” I spat as I grabbed my purse and dropped Kamden’s hand to walk out before I further embarrassed myself over a lover’s quarrel when he wasn’t even my man. “Arianna, don’t walk away from me,” Kamden told me as he wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me into his chest.
