CHAPTER 13

1564 Words
Souveth Region... The Malyah manor... It had already been three days since the ball and the baron hadn't sent him any message about Natasha. He supposed that Madame Natalia had been bluffing, maybe he could still marry Emily. He kept thinking to himself. Madame Felicia had fallen sick after her panic attack because of what happened at the ball, but she seemed to be getting better now. "But will Emily still want me after she saw what happened between me and Natasha?" He questioned himself out loud. "No she would probably forgive me after I give her a proper apology," he said out loud as he smiled, probably trying to convince himself that everything would be back to normal. "Master George" a servant called out to him. "Argh what is it," he said relaxed on the cushion in his study, he sounded irritated because the servant had interrupted his thoughts. "The baron sent a letter of invitation to his manor" "What?!" George said as he jumped up walking towards the servant and taking the letter from him before aggressively pushing him away. "Get out!" He said before reading the letter. Immediately he was done reading he started squeezing the paper. "That damned woman!" He said as he angrily threw the paper on the floor. He had to be there the next morning. He didn't want to marry Natasha, all he wanted was Emily. The next day Emily had still been in her room not seeing any guests. George had come to the Garheé manor first thing in the morning with his mother. Madame Felicia was so excited because the baron had finally called forth George which meant that the marriage was sooner. Meanwhile, to George, it was a dreadful day. The servant directed them to the Baron's office for his judgment. When George and his mother had gotten there they met the baron standing behind his desk staring through the window not taking even a glance at them. "I believe that you are aware of what I am about to say," he said still looking through the window. George knew but that wasn't what he wanted. "Forgive me but it was her who..." "Be quiet!" The Baron's yell gave George and his mother a terrible shock. He couldn't even let George finish his sentence, but either way Madame Felicia was obviously not going to let him finish, she had already looked at him with disgust as he tried to blame Natasha. "You will marry Natasha for you have taken away her pride" "But sir, what about Emily! You can't possibly make Natasha wed before her". The baron finally looked at George to see whether there was really no shame in him. He looked at George with disgust, 'could this man be any more shameless ' He thought to himself. The baron's gaze made George and his mother flinch. "To think that I thought that you were good enough for any of my daughters, oh if only Jacob were here. He was the one who made me see something good in your family". George had just looked down after what the baron said this was his first time ever seeing the baron angry, he couldn't utter a single word. His mother on the other hand was as shameless as ever, the baron could have given them a worse insult and she still wouldn't flinch all she thought of was a luxurious life. "Whatever goes on in Emily's life is none of your concern, stick with Natasha. She was yours the moment you decided to lay hands on her" "Yes baron, I am sorry for my son's behavior," madame Felicia said answering the baron for George since it looked like he wasn't ready to say anything anytime soon. The baron hadn't even wanted to notice her until she spoke, he looked at her with more disgust than George. "Now get out, Natasha has been waiting for your arrival," he said before looking out the window again. They wasted no time leaving his office. George obviously had no intention of going to see Natasha but the guards had been waiting for him outside the Baron's office so they could take him to where the lady was. "Fix your face George, remember why we are doing this, and don't upset the lady" Madame Felicia whispered to George before parting ways with him. He followed them till they got to the garden, that was probably where Natasha was. They still had to walk a little more before they could get to where Natasha was, when they finally arrived he saw her sitting in the garden dining room with many guards surrounding her. She had a full expression until she saw him and waved at him as she had a bright smile on her face. It disgusted him, it was because of this woman that he could not be with Emily. "Darling!!" She yelled as she ran to hug him. Immediately she was abt to have contact with him the guards brought out their spears to drive her away. It startled both of them but George seemed the most shocked. "What?! Not even a hug?" She just sighed and then blew him a kiss. "Come, let's have some tea" George was lost there were so many guards around and Natasha seemed too excited to see him when he could pick any place to be than here. He dreaded everything concerning this matter so much. "Now we can finally get married," Natasha said with a wide grin as she poured some tea for George. "What is going on Natasha?" George asked. "Oh, the tea? I didn't want any maids here..." "That's not what I mean," he said as he aggressively cut her short. "Oh, you mean the guards? Father has been like this since the incident with Emily, he..." "What happened to Emily?!" He asked her immediately not even letting her finish her sentence. "I can't share any more details with you, as you can see," she said referring to the guards as she took a sip from her tea. "But Emily is not our concern, did you and father agree on the wedding date" "No we did not, we just agreed that we are going to wed how can we discuss something like that now?" George said before leaning a little towards Natasha. "Natasha, we had a promise, didn't we?" He whispered. "What do you mean?" Natasha said sipping from her tea acting all innocent. "Don't play dumb, you know what I mean" he said still whispering. "I'm afraid that I do not know what you mean" "We agreed that our relationship is only for satisfactory purposes and there will be nothing more and that you won't tell" "But I didn't tell anyone, my mother found out and told my father about it... I am innocent, I have no part in it" "But you can always tell your father to cancel plans" "No George I can't do that anymore. I am no longer a pure damsel anymore, I don't think that I could possibly find who could love me for this" she looked at the guards. "And I love you, George" "But what about Emily?" "You keep on talking about her, but even if father were to cancel our engagement I'm sure that father wouldn't want you marrying her" "Why?" "Your time is up lady Natasha" one of the guards spoke. "Until another time my love" Natasha stood up and waved at him. "When will daddy let me see him again" "The baron said when he has returned from his trip" "That's too far," she said before she ran toward George to hug him, but the guards blocked her. "Oh please, I won't tell father" the guards let her go just this time. She went ahead to hug him, George didn't even lift a finger to hug her back. "Ok bye George" He didn't even respond to her the only thing that he thought about was what could have happened to Emily. A week later... Emily still stayed in her room but would come out only to read her books and she usually thought about her dark knight, she couldn't find it in herself to hate him for not taking her seriously. She had already fallen madly in love with him and at this point, she wasn't sure if there was anything that she could do about it. She still thought of the both of them being together at this point she was running mad now. She heard that George came to visit Natasha after their engagement was confirmed. They were going to hold an engagement ball soon celebrating her sister's engagement and making it public that her engagement with George had been canceled. She honestly didn't care if Natasha was to wed before her anymore, she had even been more relieved that she had escaped the clutches of George. Elijah's marks were still all over her body, it brought back memories of the magical night, she had with him. It made her crave for him even more, she really wanted him. She was ready to get him, was what she was thinking until someone barged into her bed-chamber unannounced. It startled Emily but she saw the person and that person came in with a wide grin... That person was Natasha. 'What could she possibly want?' Emily thought to herself.
