Abigail laughed and pushed the wine bottle toward us. "I can't drink, but you two can enjoy it together."
I was in such a good mood after my call with Aunt Vivian. The thought of finally selling my company shares and cutting ties with the Oasis Pack made me feel celebratory.
"Come on, it's only fun if all three of us drink together," I said, trying to convince her. "Just have a little wine with us."
Abigail pouted like a child. "No way! Unless you get permission from my brother, I'm not drinking anything."
I blinked in surprise. "Me? Shouldn't you call him yourself?"
"He'll definitely say no if I ask," she insisted, grabbing my arm. "Sister Oasis, please ask my brother for me! I really want to drink a little tonight."
