Chapter 6.

A man was tied to a chair with ropes right in front of her. His body was covered with deep wounds. Blood was oozing from every part of his body. Demon was standing in front of him, holding a sharp knife in his hand. The knife was moving on his body like a snake. Seeing all this, Haya got goosebumps. And as soon as Demon’s knife reached his throat, Haya could not bear it anymore. With a scream, she fell to the ground with a thud. Hearing the sound, Demon felt that something was wrong. He turned back and saw Haya lying unconscious on the ground. When Haya regained consciousness, she was in her room. Sofia and the other girls were sitting beside her. Sofia knew everything, but the other girls were very worried because of her condition. Haya fainting like that had made everyone worried. They were asking her many questions, but her mind was stuck at one place. The person she had considered her ideal was not even worthy of being called a human. Haya felt pity for that man, not knowing that his punishment was only because he had looked at her. Haya had now decided that she would not work here with Demon anymore. And very soon, she would shift to a hostel. Because she could not take favors from a person who gave such a cruel death to humans. Victor was sitting in the private room of his club when one of his men came to him. “Boss, I have brought very good news for you.” Victor looked at him and asked, “Tell me, what news have you brought?” His man happily said, “Boss, as you told me, I was keeping an eye on Demon. Today he went to visit one of his construction sites, and there was a girl with him.” “There, a man misbehaved with that girl, so Demon killed him. And sir, his death was not much different from Kamal’s.” Hearing this, Victor said angrily, “You fools, bring that girl to me. I will do such a thing to her that Demon will remember it all his life. Go quickly. If you fail, your death will be in my hands. I will not wait anymore.” His man disappeared immediately. Haya had started working at another place because she did not want to work with Demon anymore. After that day, neither Demon nor Haider appeared in front of her. It was another story that Demon himself had arranged this job for her, but Haya did not know this. Haya was working when her phone suddenly rang. Seeing an unknown number, she cut the call. But when the calls kept coming again and again, she picked it up. What she heard made her even more disturbed. “Listen Haya, my name is Rozie. I used to work with Demon, but he is not a good man. All of your respect is in danger. If you want to save yourself and the other girls, come to the address I am sending. I cannot talk on the phone. And don’t tell anyone, otherwise Demon will find out and kill me.” Before Haya could say anything, the call was cut. She received a message with an address. Without wasting time, Haya left for that place because she was more worried about the girls than herself. When Haya reached the address, it was a club. She had never been to such a place before, but for the sake of the girls, she went inside. A girl standing outside took her in and then upstairs into a room. As soon as Haya entered, there was a strong smell of alcohol. A very ugly man was sitting in front of her, holding a glass, obviously filled with alcohol. Haya felt scared. She thought she should not have come in such a hurry, but now it was too late. Her instincts were warning her of danger. “Welcome Miss Haya, we were waiting for you,” he said. “I must say, Demon has caught a very beautiful prize.” The man and his men were looking at her with dirty eyes. Haya wrapped her dupatta tightly around herself. “Who are you and why did you call me here?” she asked in fear. “No need to hurry, we will tell you. Let us at least welcome you properly.” “I said who are you and why did you call me here? And where is the girl who called me?” “I am here, darling.” A girl came forward, holding a glass, and sat in the man’s lap. “I called you. But you are even more foolish than I thought. You came here so easily.” “I am asking you again, who are you people?” “Fine, let me tell you. I am Victor, the boss here. And your lover Demon thinks I am just a small-time criminal. He killed my brother Kamal. He destroyed many of my places. Do you know how much loss I suffered? But I cannot catch him. Somehow, he always finds out everything and ruins my plans.” The way he was speaking scared Haya even more. “So I thought, if I cannot get Demon, I should find his weakness. And yesterday, when he killed a man so brutally, I realized that you can be useful to me.” “Now that you are here, I will ruin you, then my men will, and then I will sell you. And then I will watch Demon suffer. That is how I will weaken him and take his place.” As soon as Haya tried to run, his men caught her and tied her to a chair. Now Haya regretted her decision, but there was nothing she could do. Demon was sitting in his office, thinking about Haya. Since that day, he had not had the courage to face her and tell her the truth. Suddenly, Haider rushed into the office. “What happened? Why are you so worried?” “Demon, the men you assigned to protect Haya said that she left her office and went towards Victor’s club.” Hearing this, Demon became furious. “What nonsense! How can she go there?” “This is Victor’s plan. He must have tricked her to attack your weakness.” “If that is the case, then this will be Victor’s last mistake.” Demon stormed out of the office. When they reached the club, the guard tried to stop them, but Demon was out of control. Anyone who came in his way did not survive. He broke the door open and froze at the sight. Haya was tied to a chair, her clothes torn, and Victor was standing close to her. Seeing Victor’s hand on Haya’s shoulder, Demon lost control. In one strike, he cut off Victor’s arm. Everything happened so fast that no one could react. Haider and his men handled the others. Demon’s knife moved over Victor’s body like a snake, cutting him again and again. “Demon, stop! He is dead!” Haider shouted, shaking him. “Look at Haya, she is unconscious!” Demon came back to his senses and rushed to Haya. Seeing her alive, he felt relieved. When Haya woke up, she was in her room. Sofia was standing there with some clothes. “Haya, get up. You have to get ready.” “For what?” “It’s your marriage today with sir.” Haya was shocked. “What? Who decided this?” At that moment, Demon entered the room. “I did. And now you cannot do anything about it.” Haya was too scared to argue and quietly got ready. In a red dress, she looked like a fairy. Sofia covered her face with a veil and took her out. Later, in the room, Haya angrily removed everything and threw it away. She did not know that Demon was watching her. He stood up and walked towards her. With every step he took forward, she stepped back until she hit the wall. He stood very close to her. She could feel his breath. He placed his hands on the wall, blocking her way. “What you did yesterday, what was that?” Haya had no answer. Demon leaned closer and kissed her, taking away her breath. After a while, he moved back. “That’s enough for now. From now on, you will not go anywhere without telling me.” On the day of her departure, Haya was very scared. But Sofia had told her the truth about Demon. He was cruel to criminals but a savior for helpless people. When Haya came downstairs, Demon was sitting there. Their marriage was simple. Soon, she went with him to his house. Haya was sitting in Demon’s room. The room was beautifully decorated with flowers. Demon came in and locked the door. Her heart started beating fast. He came close and sat in front of her. He held her hand and put a ring on her finger, then kissed her hand. He lifted her veil and looked at her. He could barely control himself. He laid her down and leaned over her. He kissed her gently, and slowly their distance disappeared. The moon outside hid behind the clouds as if shy of their union. In the morning, Haya woke up in his arms. Demon leaned to kiss her, and she suddenly opened her eyes. “Get up, Miss Haya, or I might change my mind.” She quickly ran to the bathroom. Demon laughed. When she came out, he was busy on his phone. As she stood in front of the mirror, he came behind her and held her. “Please don’t,” she said softly. “You are tempting me,” he teased. Haya blushed and looked away. He kissed her again, and she ran out of the room. Later, they had breakfast together. It felt like the most beautiful morning for Demon. Haya also thanked Allah that her life had finally become beautiful. The end
